    • Her name is now Jane. (And she has only one arm.)
My 6 year old daughter loves this doll. It was a Christmas gift, and she’s now been playing with it for 8 days. The only complaint I have is that her curly hair quickly became frizzy and tangled. I tried French braiding it, which helped temporarily. I will try washing and conditioning it tomorrow; we’ll see if it ruins the curls or helps. (Edited to add, 11 months later) I have now shampooed and conditioned her hair multiple times, and the curls do hold. I have to comb through the tangles while hair is wet and slathered in conditioner, and every time I do this obviously some hair comes out, but overall her hair still looks good. Two days ago, my daughter told me that for Christmas this year, she wants to get "Jane" a sister. Then last night, Jane's arm broke off while she was putting her into her pajamas. It does not look like this can be repaired. She cried so many tears, and I did a temporary fix using a flexible double-sided tape, but now my poor daughter says she just wants a new "Jane" for Christmas. :-( ... show more

    • Her head is not stable
I really like the doll and I'm going to keep it, but her head is not stable. It wobbles back and forth and is very loose. I should return her, she's not going to be a toy that is played with. She is just going to be apart of a collection. I feel her joints aren't stable either. I have other of these dolls and none are like this one. I feel like the newer dolls are just not a good as the older ones. ... show more

I like this doll. My daughter is going to love it. The outer box is awesome. I don’t havto wrap it, but will be. Opened it up and a cute story about the doll was displayed on top. Their is a good amount of hair. Their is a good amount of hair follicles. Not a ton but better than the Glitter Girl Dolls. When the hair is styled a bald spot is less likely to show. The clothing material is good. The shoes look cheep. We might paint her cute finger nails. I was curious about the body. The top part of the chest is a hard plastic and the belly is soft and stuffed pretty good. The hard plastic arms and legs move up and down and do not bend at the joints. Eyes do not close. When compared to a Glitter Girls Doll this doll is big. I would buy again. I hope this review helps. ... show more

Wasn't sure if these Journey Dolls would stand up to the American Girl Dolls but they are BEAUTIFUL! Nice soft skin, richly colored hair and I love the expressions on their faces soft and inviting! I would say the only draw back are the legs, I find, are a bit too skinny. They almost look too skinny for the upper half of the doll.....I would look into giving them a more ample base, as they tend to topple over fairly easy. Other than that it is my opinion that the Journey dolls are more worth the money than the American girl dolls....as I can add to my Granddaughters collection over time. I purchased Mikaella for her Birthday and it is a wonderful Doll! I know she will love it! ... show more
