  • Crickets were poor quality
Size: 120 Count
The crickets arrived and more than half were of poor quality. I usually feed my animals healthy, active crickets. Most of these crickets were in various stages of the death process. Some moved slowly. Others didn't move at all, but appeared alive in other respects. Others were lying on their backs, thinking god knows what, perhaps also dead. The healthiest few were certainly about 1/4". In fact, all were about that size. *I must admit the temperatures in SF were a modest 65 degrees or so the week these crickets were delivered, which could have confused the crickets into thinking life is too perfect and therefor must be a simulation, which of course exploded their ganglions (cricket brains) and left them stupified and putrid*. My sheltered pets (sheltered from revelations) are not fit to dine on low quality, squishy deadish crickets with such low standards of their own capabilities that they choke on 65 degree air. I now hand-select the crickets I purchase from the local cricketarium, ensuring the kind of vigor and rigor and poise that a true crickets cricket should display. ... show more

  • All dead
Size: 120 Count
All dead Just got an email requesting i photograhg my invoice and package slip...why It's an Amazon purchase...the info is online. Sorry i was too pissed when i saw this to think of it before tossing the whole disgraceful thing Less than half a dozen crickets held into life inside the carton And not a heat pack in sight. Michigan...lansing... freezing temps... I'd like a refund because a replacement likely won't survive again, but haven't been offered either by Josh's frogs But i did just see an email that was an absolute lie. Proven by my saved emails and the date marked on my uploaded photos. Untrustworthy! ... show more

  • 1/4" banded crickets arrived alive and well!
Size: 120 Count
Well, we took in a little toad after he was run over by the lawn mower, he was a little shell shocked but otherwise unhurt from what we could see. He is teenie tiny, so finding insects and spiders for him to eat was getting hard, and there are zero local herp supply stores to be found, so I came here. I saw the fabulous reviews and reasonable price, and just dove in. I was so worried about the long estimated shipping time, as it has been extremely hot out here, and I didn't want them to die en route. Well, they arrived today and not a one was dead. They were pretty thirsty and hungry, so a wet paper towel and leaf of lettuce perked them right up. They are the perfect size for our little toadlet. He was so thin when we took him in, but just today has been the world to him. He is full and so happy! I am quite pleased with these little niblets, they'll keep my little toady really happy. ... show more

  • Most were alive. Too many crickets for me.
Size: 120 Count
Most of mine were alive. I’m not sure why but these ones were super jumpy compared to what is bred around here. Made for interesting time trying to feed to my frog. Removed 1 star because 120 is waaay too many for me. Removed 1 star because I don’t like this breed of cricket. I would buy again if I could get it in half the amount. I would put up with the breed of cricket for ease of delivery to my door. Simply a waste of money for me to order in this quantity. ... show more

  • Thank goodness they were in a container lol
Size: 120 Count GUTLOADED
I was terrified to open the box- I despise bugs, including crickets, but my kid's leopard geckos are pretty cute and need more than just mealworms. *Sigh* Last crickets I ordered were loose and icky. These were in a container like mealworms are sold in, so it was easy to dump them in the cricket tank. They were packed with sliced carrots. They're so small, they seem a lot less icky, fun to watch, and small enough to be quiet. Never thought I'd be feeding bugs! The Leo's are awful cute though, so I'm here I am, feeding bugs to feed them. So if you're a new lizard Mama, and have been traumatized by opening a box of icky jumpy loose crickets in your house, try these lol. ... show more

  • They solved my problem within 3 hours!
Size: 120 Count
I ordered these because it was a great price and they were going to be there in less than 48 hours after I ordered. After I placed the order, I was notified the next day that they would not be delivered for a week. I'm sure you all know what would happen to a box of crickets in a hot Warehouse over the period of a week :-( contacted the seller and , expressed my concerns and they were on my doorstep 3 hours later. No dead crickets, exactly what I ordered, I am so extremely pleased! And so are Jake and Lily the leopard geckos :-) definitely will be ordering again and again! ... show more

  • Incredible delivery!
Size: 120 Count GUTLOADED
It's very hard in our area to find live feed right now, so I took a chance on this. I am now going to buy my live feed from Josh's Frogs every chance I get! The crickets were packaged VERY well including a small heat packet, they were all alive and healthy. My juvie bearded dragon and emerald swift were thrilled and excited to hunt down their food! Now going to size up the crickets, these were wee little fellars, but I think mine can handle a little bigger. Excellent service and sales, worth the shipping costs for healthy food! ... show more

  • Came in a lose box. Wayyy more than expected.
Size: 120 Count
The first time I got crickets from them it was great! I ordered about a hundred. Few were dead but it seemed like there were about half as many as I ordered. They came in a little container and I could easily get them into my cricket keeper. The second time however I ordered 500 since my dragon eats about 100 in a few days and we have a second lizard in the house. I also figured it would be the same as last time where there were half as many but I was mistaken. The crickets came in a lose box on stacks and stacks of egg cartons. It was extremely difficult to get them all out and we lost at least a hundred outside. While counting the crickets I fed to my lizard there were definitely more than 500 and it was insane to take care of so many different containers of crickets. They were very lively and mostly survived shipping. I would recommend them for buying smaller batches of crickets but definitely not any larger orders ... show more
