  • The only shoe I will wear!
Size: 7.5-8 Color: Purple/Knit
[Reviewed by my wife]: I'm a mom of two kids under two years old, so I am on my feet most of the day, and shortly after my son was born, my feet were killing me by day's end. I did extensive research to find the most comfortable shoe for being on one's feet all day and this is the only one that works. I tried Sketchers and Asics, and both hurt my feet! The toe box was too narrow - rubbed my pinkie toe raw - and my arches cried for the shoes to come off ASAP. I tried my mom's Xero shoes and almost instantly fell in love with the feel, but not the price tag. These Joomra's aren't Xeros, but they sure are close enough for the price! I am beyond pleased with this purchase. They fit perfectly, the toe box is nice and spacious, and some days I have to remind myself to take my shoes off to get ready for bed! They are seriously that comfortable and light, it feels about as close to barefoot as a shoe can get. I have not tried these hiking or on any other terrain beyond day to day indoor and yard use. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Love these shoes. Mindful/Careful transition is important!
Size: 7.5-8 Color: Light Blue/Knit
Ordered these in August 2022 to begin the transition to minimalist running. I’ve had plantar fasciitis pain since my teens, and prescription orthotics weren’t fixing anything. Wanted to see what would happen if I stopped treating my feet like lifeless balls of flesh that I stomp around on. Not a podiatrist, just sharing experience. Size and durability: I wear 7.5/8 when it comes to dress shoes and 8/8.5 when it comes to running shoes. My first pair was 7.5/8 and I decided to go a little bigger (8.5) for my second pair. I run approximately 3x per week for 2-3 miles each time. The first pair I wore from august to early January. The second pair I started wearing in early January and am still wearing for runs now (early may). I think I will likely keep my current pair for longer than I kept the first since the fit is better. I will often randomly wear these to work as well where I’m often on my feet for a large percentage of the day. Current pair still looking great. I will probably order a fresh pair for when I go to Europe since I plan to walk several miles each day and would prefer some extra cushioning (it wears down a bit over time). Background: I started to read in summer 2022 about the benefits of toe spreading, gentle ground contact, losing “arch support”, and strengthening the whole foot. I stopped buying running shoes and decided to transition to zero drop using these. As I transitioned, I continued to use my regular hack around shoes for the day-to-day so I wouldn’t snap my Achilles as it started to lengthen back out. With the joomras My runs at first were very short and very slow, and I’d stop at any sign of Achilles pain or any pain that felt like tearing. The hack around shoes that I continued to wear for work were allbirds for context (a little heel but nothing extreme). I think continuing to wear these really helped with the transition, because if I completely transitioned to flat shoes immediately I probably would have torn something. The verdict: I have a super high opinion of these shoes. Once I got a size that felt good (my big toe not touching the top), I was able to implement toe spreading and begin to improve my running. After approximately 8 months I feel almost completely transitioned to flat shoes. My arches never hurt anymore. My feet often hurt—not in a tearing way—but in a “I just worked these muscles” kind of way. It’s a wild and exciting feeling. For awhile I actively was forcing my toes to spread in the shoes. That was really helpful in getting these shoes to work for me. Plus, I found that spreading my toes made my feet more bouncy and allowed me to rely less on the ball footpads and heel of my foot to absorb shock—it feels more like the inner musculature of the foot is absorbing the shock. I’m not a podiatrist, so take this with a grain of salt. Just sharing my experience. My advice. Tread lightly. Transition slowly. Don’t heel slam. Make a conscious effort to spread toes. ... show more

  • Super comfy shoe!
Size: 8.5 Color: B_allblack
These shoes are very comfy and flexible with a wide toe box. They seem fairly well made. My only complaint is that there's elastic around the ankle which is really tight and uncomfortable and I don't have big ankles. I'm sure it will keep pebbles out of the shoe which will be helpful but I've only had them on 10 minutes and my ankles are already irritated there. It's a bit more of a slip on sock type shoe than I initially realized when I purchased so be aware that it's really not adjustable the way a normal sneaker is. I purchased for the gym so I'll keep them because I'm not planning on wearing for long periods of time but I think the elastic would bother me too much to wear all day ... show more

  • Great barefoot shoes. Served me well in Yosemite
Size: 8.5 Color: A_dark Grey
I bought these before we took a trip to Yosemite. I'm about 1 year into my barefoot journey and wanted something with good traction that was comfortable and would hold up. We spent 3 days in Yosemite, hiked Vernal Falls, Lower Yosemite Falls, and around Happy Isles. We rode bikes around the valley as well. My feet were happy and comfortable the whole time. I loved feeling the ground beneath my feet and felt very sure footed in them, even when climbing up the wet stone steps at Vernal Valls and the very steep, dry climb that is lower Yosemite Falls. I'm not a hard core hiker. These were 3-5 mile round trip hikes. I was super happy with the purchase. And they washed up nicely when I got home. ... show more

  • Really like the wide toe feature
Size: 10 Color: A_knit Pink
Really like the wide toe feature of this shoe. They so comfortable to wear . I love the pink shoe for everyday use. They are super cute! I use the blue shoe for hiking, and waking in the park and such since the areas that I go to can be dirty. They are easy to throw in the wash and clean up nicely. There is an inner sole insert that can be removed if you prefer your own. They are true to size. They take time getting use to as the toes give plenty of wiggle room. Most shoes on the market squish the toes so it may feel different at first to be able to spread your toes in these shoes. But it's so nice not to have tired feet after long walks. When I first bought these I thought that aesthetically people would mock or give dirty looks as they look a little different than many shoes on the market, however, I have had so many people ask if they are comfortable and where can they buy them. ... show more
