    • Really comfortable, but a bit tight in the back
According to my husband who is extremely picky about a shoe as it can easily be uncomfortable for him no matter of quality and price this is an incredibly comfortable pair of shoes. I decided to spend the money and get these shoes for him because of the troubles he has finding good shoes to fit his comfort expectations. He absolutely loved them and got compliments on them that he wore them daily for work 12 hours shifts at night for a desk job and when going out on days off. After a few days of daily wearing them he developed a blister on the back of one foot. I thought maybe he wore other shoes in between and those could have caused the blister. I can also assume that the long shifts my husband does having the shoes on could make the feet sweat a bit and the little walking at break times and moving around a bit during his shifts could definitely cause blisters no matter what shoes one wears. So, in summary, the shoes are amazingly comfortable and my husband loves them and the blister could have been caused by the long shifts he has shoes on, but it can also be due to the the height in the back of the shoes rubbing just at the wrong point. Because of the price and this blister caused I give the shoes 4 stars, but keep in mind all my notes here. ... show more

    • Love this easy-to-put-on cool looking shoe.
I bought these to replace my previous pair of J&M shoes...same exact shoe, but my old one was blue canvas vs. the leather of new one. These are my go-to shoes when i need to run out of the house or anything non-dressy. Now, with the leather, these shoes can be either super casual or a little dressy as they look good with khakis too. ... show more

    • I Suggest You NOT Buy this Shoe
The shoe looks good and feels pretty good but it has no strength. It has been less than a year and they are falling apart. The seams are splitting and the stitching is falling out. I paid over a hundred bucks for them. They might be worth $30 or 40. If that wasn't bad enough, I only wear them indoors. Buyer beware! ... show more

I was pretty disappointed and feel like these shoes are overrated. As a restaurant owner I have worn Clark’s and recently J&M as they tend to have natural slip resistance. In fact a sales clerk at one location told me as much. I ordered these based on review and the big “over a million sold” on their webpage. Just not breaking in well. It doesn’t help that inaccidently ordered the slip on and not tie version so I’m not a fan ... show more

    • Not true to fit...
I have purchased 3 pairs of Johnston and Murphy leather shoes. 2 of them are really nice, but this pair... well, its not so great but its a harder leather, so I think it needs to be broken in... and since I wore them, that is exactly what I need to do now. Something is just off, even though they are the exact same size when compared to the other two - sole to sole and size by side, they are exactly the same, but this shoe is just a bit tight... All in all, i do not recommend this pair. ... show more
