  • SAFETY ALARM: The rotary laser features visual and audible alarms that alert you when the rotary is beyond its leveling range and the locking pendulum that protects the inner pendulum during transportation.
  • APPLICATIONS: This rotary laser may be used to check cut and fill; set foundations and footings; concrete pours; septic tanks and basement excavations; acoustical ceiling and drywall; align and plumb walls; level deck floors; set drainage; terracing; and more.
  • ROTATIONAL SPEEDS: This manual rotary laser with illuminated vertical vial supports variable rotational speeds of 200-600 RPM. A variable RPM allows the user to set the laser to the speed that provides the optimum visibility.
  • PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS: The kit includes a Laser with 800' working diameter; NiMH rechargeable battery pack; 6V battery charger; detector with clamp and 9V battery; tripod; 13' grade rod; wall/ceiling mounting bracket; magnetic target; tinted glasses; and hard-shell carrying case.

This unit is a good value. I bought it for upcoming retaining wall work, landscaping and for burying my downspouts. The tripod is flimsy, but if you take care of it and are careful, it will be just fine- same goes for the laser receiver. The laser its self and the grading rod are well built. This unit is easy to set up works well. It is a good value for light usage. The tripod is a little light for every day use by a contractor. The actual laser head is well built and the batteries last A long time between charges. For my use around a recreational property it works very well. I used mine for grading. The laser, although not visible in the sunlightthe sunlight, was easily located with the grading rod/receiver. Also have usedvitvatva distance of more than 400 feet already. Works great. Setup is not complicated at all. Good quality materials.

I am carpenter/small scale contractor. I have only used this tool 2-3 times so far so I don’t have a lot of experience with it , but it performed great for the jobs I have used it on. Leveling deck posts , finding grade for a fence job estimate, and leveling the frame/pickets for another fence. I’m not convinced the extra large case is necessary but I suppose with a precision instrument like this you want to protect it. The case is roughly 4 ft long, 12”x12” high and wide. I do believe the addition of a rotary level to my business has put me in a slightly more professional class and able to better provide for my clients. The tripod is flimsy and is as durable as one you would use indoors for a small camera. The case is warped on the two outside corners leaving it gapped open while in the locked closed position. Should have known better from the low price. There is a reason for it.
