We used to have a nice big old tree in front of the garage and the HOA cut it down. I needed something to provide some shade for my vegetable garden and flowers I grow on my balcony. We get the scalding afternoon sun on the plants and they were suffering terribly. This fake ivy fence did the trick and provided some privacy too. We have a lot of wind here and a sunbrella was not going to help. My husband didn’t like it — he thinks it’s tacky. But you know, I’m the wife ;-) It comes in rectangles snapped together in a long row. I had to snap together the rows. The box comes with zip ties. I also bought long plant stakes to add additional support in holding the plastic fence up together. I zip tied the fence sandwiching it between the balcony railing and the stakes. From the distance it looks real. If you get close up, you can see it’s fake. Why 4 stars: It’s not fast to put it together. It took me one afternoon and one morning to put it up. One of the snaps was missing (see photo) — I used one zip tie to hold that part together. I used the tip of a small spoon to push the snap down because it’s hard to go in. It also has a strong wax smell. If you’re planning on using it inside, keep this in mind. Time will tell if they’ll fade and how they’ll hold up during windy storms. Ah yes, we have a white trash pool with a redneck pool deck made of pallet racking. Threw a Barbie pool party for my kid and wanted to at least make the pool area look "slightly" classy. I ordered 3 rolls and i really like the 2 tone colors on the watermelon leaves. Each set came with a packet of small zip ties. I had to buy some longer zip ties bcz of the wide of the metal but in some places I was able to link 2 of the included zip ties together. I did need to adjust the length of the rolls and found it challanging to pop the pieces apart. At one point I decided to simply cut the pieces apart. While this is plastic and theoretically reusable, once the kids are old enough and we remove the pool, I expect to just cut this down and toss it. However, I also plan on leaving it up all year. We don't get snow at my house but we do get wind and quite a bit of rain. It'll be interesting to see how it holds up in the winter. I expect to loose some leaves. It’s beautiful! I need one more to finish my fence. 4 star because I’m not sure how long this will last. I had 3-4 leaves fall off when putting it together. I am hoping it will last through the weather. Time will tell.

Very easy to install. It came already connected which was nice. We bought this originally to put up on the balcony to prevent our kitties jumping on the neighbor’s balcony through the rails. It was a cheap solution and it seems to work. Not sure how it will hold up or if it will fade - I would assume so since it’s in bright sun most of the day. It does look artificial as it is not like those expensive silk leaves or anything so have that in mind. ... show more

I added these (I bought two packs) to the fencing around my kids' play house. It adds some beautiful greenery and privacy along our wire fence. Super easy to install, only took about 15 ~ minutes! Great price and totally worth it!
