Alright so listen, the instructions on this thing are wrong and I had to spend hours figuring out how to wire this pile. For starters, I’m wiring it to the switch on my Tusk Enduro lighting kit. READ CAREFULLY: Here’s how the wires work — HEADLIGHT: Black — high beam Red — low beam White — ground Dont ask me why, whoever assembled this is a moron. Also, the ground needs to be an independent ground. Remember that. Don’t splice the ground into another ground, give it its own bolt or something! Ok, so coming off the Tusk Enduro switch are 3 wires: Black White Dark Blue Splice the black wire into the power wire either off the switch or right off the battery. This is how the headlight switch gets its power. In this case, again, black doesn’t mean ground (morons, every one of em). Ok, so then wire dark blue off the switch to the black wire on the headlight. Then wire the white off the switch to the red on the headlight. I CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOW BEAM AND HIGH BEAM. My volt meter reads different outputs, high beam *is* higher, but the output shows no real difference. Not sure if this will impact inspection status or not, hopefully not because otherwise this was a giant waste of time. Overall score: 2/5 ... show more

    • Decent Light for the Price
The light is okay given the price for it. I do have a couple of complaints. The first is the lack of instructions. You need to test which wires light up what. I also spent a bit of time trying to figure out exactly how the light was supposed to mount. There are a couple extra brackets they send along that I didn't even end up using. Which leads to my second complaint. The straps that you are supposed to mount with were not large enough to fit around the forks of my kx250. Not even close. Some pictures online look like there are multiple holes you could fasten to, which would make the strap shorter or longer depending on what you need (similar to a belt), but mine did not have that. I ended up having to use zip ties to make up the difference in length that I was missing. Doesn't look the best. The light also came with a small white box (where the wires connect into) that was not attached. It would just flop around if not fastened somehow. I had double sided tape and used that, but nothing was provided with the light to attach it anywhere. Lastly, and my biggest complaint, was that there was no difference between high and low beam. I am trying to make my bike street legal, and having both is a requirement. There is no difference when I toggle between the two. I guess this is one of those, "you get what you pay for" items. The Mounting brackets and rubber universal straps are cheap and may not fit any bike, but with a little ingenuity you’ll find a way to mount it. I used some heavy duty zip ties and it looks great. Easy to wire and this light is legit! The led lamps are super bright.

Fit my KX250 easily with included straps, as other reviews have stated white is ground and black/red are power. I can’t tell a difference between high and low beam at all as others have pointed out, the light is not incredibly bright but works in a pinch and to convert the bike to be street legal.

Wiring listed in description doesn't match mine. On mine black is high, red is low, white is ground. Or at least that's where the wires are soldered inside the control box. Far as I can tell there is no difference between high and low beam. But it does make pretty bright light and it did fit onto the bike OK. ... show more
