The media could not be loaded. I purchased this drill almost 2 years ago and I couldn’t be more happy with this purchase. I feel like I’m a professional nail tech. I use this drill every time I do my nails which is about 2 times per month. I do polygel nails so most of the time I use the drill to remove the full set. It works great! I love it! It’s very easy to use and hold. I feel very comfortable using it. I recommend beginners to start with lower speeds until you get the hang of it. My daughters also use it from time to time and they love it as well. I definitely recommend this drill. I even purchased some ceramic drill bits recently, it’s great! UPDATE: Here is it, September 6. I’ve had this drill since May 1 and have been doing my own nails ever since. A couple days ago, the switch failed. It will work in the forward direction, not reverse, which would be fine if I were only doing one hand. Sadly, I need both directions. The return window passed on June 1, so I’m stuck buying a new unit. I chose the MelodySusie 30,000 rpm Scarlet. Let’s see if that one lasts longer. I’m keeping the J.E. Whitney in case I get ambitious and decide to try to swap out the switch. Review downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars due to lack of longevity. Like many people, I was forced to equip myself to do my own nail overlays during this lockdown. I watched lot of YouTube videos and learned what was important to know about all the equipment I'd need, and this one seemed to fit the bill. This unit is amazing! The base unit looks cheap and feels light, but that's where my skepticism ended. The hand unit is metal and hefty for its size, which to me means well-build and stable. I didn't even have to look at the instructions to hook it up and get it going. The bits it comes with are for beginners. They're very good for natural manicures. The mandrel and sanding drum unit has a little more bite, but is still not great for taking down excess product when applying hard gel or acrylic. Because I was applying hybrid gel, I also bought a set of tungsten bits. But that's beside the point. When I turned this baby on, the first thing that impressed me was how quiet it was! Then next thing was how stable. There was no wobble at all at low or high speeds. It has pretty good torque, even at lower speeds, and at this point in my learning, I can't see how anyone could need the highest speeds. A medium speed did quite well for what I needed. I chatted with a friend who is a professional, licensed nail tech, and she said this was a great unit and I made a good buy. So my advice is, if you need a drill for acrylic or builder gel nails, this is a very economical unit that will get the job done. You can spend a LOT more on a nail drill, and for the love of GOD, don't use an industrial Dremel! It's way too fast. This is a lovely unit, and from what I hear from my nail tech friends, is just fine for personal use. If you're a pro, I can't tell you if this will hold up to daily use with clients. But IMHO, it will do in a pinch. DIY'ers? Buy it, get some more heavy duty bits, and have fun!! QUIET fun!! Great little drill... ... show more

My 13 year old loves to do her nails during online classes and it's been a great "fidget" something while she listens in class. They polish is just as good as the nail salon and I've enjoyed using it myself.

Let me just start by saying.. This is not a paid review. I've been doing my own acrylic and dip nails for about 6 years now and although I have had a nail drimmel that I purchased at Sally's for some time now, it wasn't the greatest and it was time to find a better one. That being said, this drimmel is amazing! Literally a game changer for me and saves me soooo much time. I actually stopped using my old drimmel a while back and went back to manual filing (which always took me hours!) Finally I found this one and I love it. I honestly don't have many cons, all pros. I'm no professional nail tech but I love the adjustable speed and the multiple tips. I like that it comes with the stand but it doesn't sit in it very securely, that's my only complaint.. I haven't used the foot pedal yet but I honestly doubt I will much. I'm comfortable with the hand held settings. I like that you can place the drimmel on the controller as well. Despite a lot of the reviews I read (which made me a bit skeptical) everything arrived put together with all the pieces, it does not overheat and so far the sanders (not sure what to call those tips) don't wear out as quickly as the other reviews have stated) Not going to lie I am extremely happy with my purchase and do recommend to any person doing their own nails. Tips: do not continuously use it in the acrylic or nail, use it in bounces and swoops otherwise you might file your nail too thin or cause the nail to heat up. Also. Start at lower speeds before you start raising it higher, get used to how the drimmel works and how to control it, it's easy to lose control.
