  • Perfect light bulb for the job and low cost
The Vehicle is a 2010 Lexus RX 350. One of the original backup light bulbs went dark in June. I bought this set of "JDM ASTAR Extremely Bright 2000 Lumens 360-Degree Shine 921 912 90-EX Chipsets LED Bulb" based on a YouTube installation tutorial video. The vehicle in the YouTube video was the same as mine. So it was a no-brainer for me to purchase this item. They turned out nice! As you can see the size of the LED bulb, compared to the OEM bulb, is much larger, but it still fits Okay in the slot. However, the amount of light that is generated by the new LED bulbs is much brighter than the OEM ones. The first photo with these backup lights on the car was taken on a cloudy day at 1 pm in late June. The second photo with these backup lights on the car was a few days later at 8 pm. I am happy with this product and I would recommend them. ... show more

  • My third set. Lights up the night like crazy. Not for Crosstrek
I bought and installed these on a Ford Ranger, and Lexus ES350. These make A HUGE difference in visibility. The regular incandescent bulbs are dark compared to these. Bright white light and he's backup camera work better. The Ranger doesn't have a camera and this helps even more when it's pitch black out. You can see details not possible with the OEM bulb. Plus, others can definitely see you being up! Your car lens reflectors will affect how brilliantly the light performs in your application, but it worked for me. Helps me not too over the grass and plants backing out of driveway at night. It's crazy how effective these are compared to OEM and other cheaper bulbs. I searched for this company's bulbs each time I was in the market for them because of their performance. Amazon indicated this part number was correct for the Subaru Crosstrek but it's not. The bulb is too small. The correct part number is 7440 even though if you search by number it tells you it's not right for the Crosstrek. ... show more

Perfect LED replacement for my N-Line. Very bright but not blinding. Huge difference when reversing at night!! Worth the value. Does not flicker or strobe.

  • Best bulb and company out of many
Short and to the point read here👉🏻: Bright, no flicker, sturdy construction that stays put in the housing and the most important, the output on reverse camera is fantastic. Some bulbs wash out but these are amazing. Long and excessively wordy read here👉🏻: Out of the numerous and I mean NUMEROUS bulbs/bulb companies I’ve tried over the years, JDM ASTAR still prove to be the best bulb around. Now, that isn’t to say that there aren’t comparable bulbs to these guys but from my own experience, these guys make a solid led. I’ve hunted for budget bulbs of a lower price but always end up spending just as much replacing them when the company doesn’t respond. Headlight markers, front turn signals, reverse lights and tail turn signals are all from these guys and for 3+ years I’ve had no issues. But I just had my first JDM ASTAR bulb EVER start to flicker and they stood behind their bulb 100% and got a new one to my door 3 days later. The bulb didn’t fail, but I simply inquired as to what’s going on and they hooked it up. Side note/knowledge. IF you have a Subaru and your reverse cam is giving you issues after installing led’s like not turning on combined with the lights not illuminating...the problem is not the lights but the resistance. Just like the infamous hyperflash caused by lower voltage being seen by the car electronics a 50w 6ohm resistor on each reverse light will fix the issue. It may not be the fix for everyone as I haven’t tried anything but a 2017 Subaru. End of line ... show more

  • Perfect back up replacement LEDs
These fit like a glove and so easy to install on my Lexus RX350. Just twist the bulb holder, pull it out, remove the old bulb, insert the new LED and return the holder or socket back. Done. I replaced both in 5min. These are much brighter and the original bulbs and really light up the view behind you which makes it easy to back up and navigate at night. I've only had them installed for 2weeks so I can't speak on the longevity, but I'm very pleased and highly recommend these LEDs as replacements. Steve ... show more

  • Have a Nissan? Plan to replace the whole taillight assembly after you break it.
This review will be two parts: first, a review of the bulb. Second, a public lambasting of the Nissan engineering team. First, the bulb. It's huge and bright. It's super easy to plug in. It may be so big that it might not fit in your application. It did for in mine, although it's so heavy I kind of wonder if it will stay put. Which brings me to the second portion of this review. Whoever designed the taillight assembly for the Nissan Maxima (and presumably the Altima, as well as similar Infinity models), should be ashamed. Their mothers should be ashamed. You know the old adage, "how many X does it take to change a lightbulb?" In the case of Nissan I figure it takes at least four: someone to attempt what should be the simple task of changing a bulb (me), someone to break the taillight attempting to remove it (me)--even after watching YouTube how-to videos, someone to take my order for a new taillight assembly, someone to process the order, someone to ship the order, someone to deliver the order, and someone to install the new taillight (me). Oh, and someone who thought they learned their lesson on the passenger side (using a screwdriver is not good; get the right tools) and so ordered a panel removal tool for the driver's side and then quickly broke that assembly TWICE. Seriously, I do a lot of work on my cars and have for decades. This was nearly the most challenging thing I've ever faced, and certainly the least successful I've been. Did I get the bulbs in? Yes. Do they look great? Yes. Did I break both light assemblies? Yes. Would I do it again? Not if you paid me. Basically, if you own a Nissan (or, likely, an Infinity) and a bulb goes out in your car, plan to just buy whole new assemblies. They come with bulbs and *only* run about $60 each side. ... show more
