    • Cute wood toy, doesn’t encourage independence for 1 year old
The media could not be loaded. This is a cute wood toy by Janod. We have a few Janod toys that I would recommend over this one- the cat and mouse baby walker, the caterpillar ball racer, the fox stacking toy, the forest puzzle. I purchased this toy for1 year old. The toy falls over easily and isn’t righted easily by 1 year old. In addition, the rollers must be placed in one at a time slowly or they will jam. This creates frustration for 1 year old who can’t easily unjam without knocking over the toy, so for us this doesn’t encourage independent play. I think this could be a good toy for a 2 year old, and used together with an adult. I love that the toy is wood and the concept is great. I’ve uploaded 2 videos to demonstrate how it works. I was going to return this toy as it didn’t work out for us, but the seller made the return process difficult. For this reason and that it didn’t help encourage independence, I wouldn’t recommend for 1 year old. There are many other wood toys out there that are better. ... show more

    • Montessori inspired toy
I purchased this toy for my then 13 month old but she didn't really show much interest at it and quite frankly didn't have the motor skills to achieve the hand skills at that age (was only learning to take her first steps) but she did show interest at around 15 months but was a little frustrated at first and just succeeded in learning how to put the rollers in there after repeatedly watching us. I cannot say enough positive things about this toy. Our 1 year old grandson LOVES this one! The color scheme is so soothing and aesthetically pleasing. The pieces move through the grooves with ease and rings the fun bell at the bottom! We have enjoyed this wooden, well-made, fun toy every day since we purchased it! You will not be disappointed. I saw this toy in Belgium , where my daughter lives. She bought it for her one year old daughter who loved it so much that I ordered if for my other one year old granddaughter. I was so please to see this European toy company on Amazon. I purchased two other toys by them for my 2 one year old granddaughters. Great quality, nice looking and lots of fun.     • My son loves this and so do I.
My son loves this! At first he was getting frustrated but using problem solving and critical thinking he was able to maneuver the dumbells into the tracker to hit the bell. He's 4 and on the spectrum. I love this toy as well, it's relaxing. My son and I play together.
