Description

Pinata Colors are highly-saturated, fast-drying alcohol inks for any surface, including glass, metal, plastic, ceramic, stone, leather, epoxy resin, polymer clay, YUPO and more. Indelible and impervious to water, Pinata Colors clean up with alcohol and re-wet themselves, allowing for unique effects and techniques not easily achieved with water-based inks. Only the most lightfast dyes have been selected for the palette, and special formulary technology allows more color into each bottle. Possibly most impressive is the Pinata Colors opens up for non-porous surfaces. By easily re-wetting with alcohol, blowing the color across the surface with air, moving the surface by hand, pouring, or applying with a paint brush, you can achieve incredible effects. Acid-free and with excellent adhesive properties, Pinata colors are the go-to inks. Conforms to ASTM D4236. Made in the USA.

Highly pigmented, these inks can be thinned with alcohol or used full strength. The colors are rich and have seriously gorgeous undertones. They blend and spread easily and are a joy to use. There are other brands of similar quality, but these are, in my estimation, the best of the lot. Ib plan on buying more. ... show more

As a polymer clay artist, I go through a lot of supplies. These alcohol inks are great and the price is good as well. The colors are dense and a little goes a long way. I have other Pinata paints, and I'm totally satisfied with all of them. They're beautiful! As a Prime member, I buy a LOT of stuff from amazon. Living out in a rural area far from a city, amazon is my go-to source for many of my purchases. I must rely heavily on your product reviews to help me decide which item is best for me -- especially when I can't actually see, touch or hold the product. I take my personal product reviews seriously, and if something proves to be a piece of junk, I'll tell you - and if it's great or mediocre, I'll tell you that, too.     • Great for resign galaxies
I am making a number of resin coasters, and these inks are the key. So far I have made 10 galaxies, and they have all turned out very well. My typical procedure is: 1. Pour resin in, add a little glitter 2. Start adding inks of color (no white or black yet). I like to try making different shapes with the colors. 3. Let this mix around for a bit. 4. Add some white drops, but try to limit these. 5. Add more colors. 6. Swirl around a little bit with craft sticks. Not too much, but enough to give some life to the ink. 7. Add some more glitter 8. Start dripping black. Try to get to the edges at much as possible. Maybe let the resin cure for a few minutes then add more black. These have turned out really well. The only things I need to work on are: 1. Yellow likes to mix with other colors. I might need to put some white in directly after adding yellow 2. Red seems to always come out as pink. Maybe I need to avoid getting red and white to touch too much I have avoided the gold, as I don't like gold. But all other colors are nice. ... show more
