I thought these would be like Jack Link's Extra Thick Cut Steak Strips, which I love-love-LOVE. To me, they're the best-tasting, best-textured "beef jerky" I've ever had. So when I saw these "Tender Cuts - Prime Rib Flavor", I thought Oh Yummy. Well, they taste to me like Slim Jims (which I do NOT like) and, worse than that, they have the Slim Jim-texture to them. Which, to me, is like flavored fat in a tube. I did NOT like them at all, and wish I could get my money back. But since there's nothing wrong with them per se, and it's my own personal taste, c'est la vie, I suppose. :( If you LIKE Slim Jims, then you'll probably like these. I suppose they're a fancier version of the Slim Jim so if that's your thing, have at it! ... show more

Great taste. Big taste packed on a small bite. Taste just like fresh cuts from the shop. Love the strength of the package, my dog got good off it from the scent and was trying to close into it, good thing she just a little chug!
