The boots look nice and sturdy, but it was a struggle to get them on. There is no zipper and the rubber panels on the sides don’t stretch, so it’s almost like trying to squeeze your foot into ceramic boot or something. I have a couple injuries including a finger that has been broken and a sprained finger and I actually hurt my fingers try to put them on. It was equally as difficult to get the boot off. These boots are insanely cute and I have already gotten a good amount of compliments. I ordered in black, size 8. I find them to be slightly on the large side but not so much that I believe sizing down would have worked better. The opening around the ankle is also just about right for me. I have fairly small ankles so there is a fair amount of space left in the opening. If you’re a larger person or thick ankled it may be harder to put on. Additionally, as a runner, my feet have widened over the years. Even with somewhat wide feet, I found there to be a fair amount of space in the front portion of the shoe. Also, while there is pretty much no padding, these boots somehow are still fairly comfortable. I’ve walked miles in them at this point and haven’t experienced really any more foot pain than what I already have (running injuries!). As far as pairing with clothing goes, even with my smaller ankles, there’s not quite enough space for me to make them work over skinny jeans. They tend to bunch up strangely. They work amazingly with leggings, skirts, and jeans cut large enough to fit over top. I’d also like to add that while they aren’t heels, they are chunky so you get a good few inches of height which I love! Extra height without the discomfort is always a plus.
