Mixers have gotten smaller than the gear we used for podcasts back in the day, more compact if you're looking for a travel friendly setup may it be for music recording or podcast work. Noise levels are expected on the minimal range for a consumer grade mixer, if you're using this for gaming streams or podcasting you'll be using an audio filter to even out the microphone levels. The headphone port does a decent job for monitoring audio and general tasks. As with any recording gear make sure you plug directly to a grounded powered hub to avoid hum or other noises if at a desktop/laptop and some laptops should be set at performance as power management of balanced can make coil whine electrical noise bleed into audio gear. Overall it should match most PC cases if you're into matching colors and the RGB lighting is more of a personal preference. A great value for a mixer that has decent sized buttons and still has a compact design. ... show more

So, it's about twice the size and half the options of the one it's replacing, but it's so much better in all of the ways that are important to me. Most of the features of my other mixer never got used and the old one is far more complex to dial. This one is dead simple and still allows for four custom settings. The mixer itself has sliders that allow me to get a very quick visual of where they are and I can easily mute any of them with a quick flick. The lighting is a little gimmicky, but not offensive in any way and the lighting can be turned off with a very intuitive long press of the button. The manual... so often manuals for these types of devices are terrible. Not this one. I was and running, fully connected within about five minutes. The sound quality I'm getting is as high as my other more expensive mixer. Of course, I had to try out some of the voice changes. Fun, but not something I ever use. It was $59.90 when I ordered it, which is a great price for a nice little audio component with which I can use my XLR mic. ... show more

The IXTECH Gaming Audio Mixer offers a solid mix of affordability, ease of setup, and some cool RGB lighting effects, which add a fun touch to the gaming or streaming setup. Getting it connected was straightforward, making it user-friendly for beginners. However, I ran into issues with driver compatibility, which led to some frustrating audio glitches and dropouts during live streaming sessions. It’s a bit disappointing when the audio unexpectedly cuts out. While the audio quality is decent for the price, it's not exceptional—there's a slight background noise, especially when pushing the gain, and the preamps could use an upgrade for a crisper sound. The mixer could also benefit from more customizable lighting options. Overall, it’s a decent budget-friendly option, but there’s room for improvement in stability and audio quality. ... show more

just did some exhaustive tests with the IXTECH mixer. Its a pretty versatile mixer for gaming or music. I tested it with windows as well as with an AKAI MPC and standalone. It has very low latency in MOST modes. Suitable for voice chatting, recording music or beatmaking. The exception is that the voice changer FX adds some latency to the mic audio, which makes it not ideal for recording music with the voice FX. But when used standalone or as a USB interface without voice FX the latency is negligible. This is ok cause i doubt anyone is trying to use those FX to record into ableton live. That being said, the voice FX are hilarious. The "baby" voice mode had me laughing on end for so long, i couldnt help myself! Good mixer ... show more

I talk in Discord a lot while playing online games, so having this setup helps when I need to adjust the volume or even do a voice changer. With the custom buttons, you can have a soundboard going as well. The setup was easy.

This helped me get a bit more fine tuned control of my audio setup at my computer. It was a bit of a bear to get it all set up, as most things dealing with audio are, but the juice was worth the squeeze. The board itself is well built and feels nice to the touch.
