I hung these on the tree and they are cute. Battery operated so no cords to run. When you first turn them on and set a timer they will come in the same time the next day and stay on the timer mode. I did not realize that since there were no instructions for the remote and the remote doesn’t have much distance so at first I was frustrated that the remote only worked a few feet away and I didn’t set the time so I used batteries quickly the first but. Overall, I thought they would be very cute on a tree outside my house and my girls (younger) would love turning them on at night. THEY ONLY WORKED FOR ONE NIGHT. The battery pack was protected, it wasn't even cold out, it hadn't rained...... there's no good reason they would stop working after one night.
