Description

Just Add Water Here is a waterproof, battery-powered portable shower that can serve multiple purposes indoors or out. By drawing water from virtually any bucket, basin or sink, the Ivation portable shower system turns a pool of water into a gentle shower-like stream on demand. This level of mobility and shower-anywhere capability is great for many uses such as on-the-go showering for campers and hikers; accessible poolside or beach showering; gentle bathtub showering for toddlers/babies, eliminating the need to use the strong overheard shower stream; an easy, portable water stream for home car washers; outdoor horse cleaning, and even house-pet washing in the bathtub. Rechargeable via USB - PLEASE NOTE: May include a wall plug instead of USB For a true go-anywhere shower, a built-in rechargeable 2200mAh lithium battery powers the Ivation portable shower for up to 60 minutes on a single charge. Charging is easy via USB connection to a computer or laptop, or with a 12v car adapter (Not Included). Couple that with the included suction cup and hanging hook, and you’ve got a shower ready when you are. The suction cup works on most flat surfaces, and allows parents to use both hands when showering their children. Use the S-shaped hook when camping to hang the lightweight, 1.4-pound Ivation showerhead on any nearby branch, and voila! You’ve got yourself a modern “crying tree.”

Top Amazon Reviews

  • Works as described and in emergencies.
I am so tired of “Love it!” reviews. Here is the review that I wish I had before I ordered this product. This product is worth buying and works as described. The photo shows how many water holes are in the shower head compared to other camp showers. The shower comes with a hook for the shower head, but the hose is too short for my 5’7” height because the pump part must stay in the water bucket if the bucket is on the ground. I like this product and would recommend it to friends and family. That’s the short story. Keep reading for a detailed review. For those who value detailed honest product reviews, here’s my story: I ordered this portable shower product a year ago and practiced using it for car camping. Yesterday, I fell at home and broke my ankle bones on both sides of the ankle. Yeah, bummer right? So my downstairs does not have a shower or tub and I really wanted a shower because the ankle dressing is not supposed to get wet. I used a big clean plastic trahbag to protect the dressing and proceeded to shower with the Ivation Portable Outdoor shower. This review is based on my experience with the portable shower in a real world environment. I had stand by assistance from a family member. I threw on the floor a couple of towels and the standby person put a commode chair on top. I put the uninsured foot into a large plastic basin. I had additional dry towels purchased on Amazon nearby. I used a few drops of concentrated Dr. Bonner peppermint soap which can be ordered on Amazon in several scents and unscented. The bathroom sink was filled with water and a tiny bit of Dr. Bonner liquid soap. Making some water mess, I proceeded to shower. Very few drops of water went outside the towel barrier. This is what I liked: 1) The hose was long enough to reach wherever I needed it to go. I am approximately 5’7” and had to bend for the water to reach my hair. The hose has water in it even when out of the water. Having the water basin and faucet at waist height was great and I recommend raising the basin for any use if you are tall so the hose can wash your hair. 2) The charge is through USB which makes it easy charge with a laptop, or other USB outdoor device. The device was not charged for a year and the shower was still strong. 3) The water flow can be stopped by folding the hose to kink it. As long as the pump at the bottom is in water, the water will flow. It took two hands to fold the hose. The hose is strong and thick. 4) The on off switch is on the pump opposite side of the USB plus and is simple to operate. There is a strong plastic cap on the switch. The cap must be pulled off to see the push button switch. 5) A gallon of water can provide a full shower. I used two gallons for a shower and to wash my hair. If I was more efficient, I could have used less water. 6) This shower with lots of shower holes can be used as a shower system for people and pets. It is a more efficient use of water. Start with very warm but not scalding water because the water cools as it leaves the hose. Be sure to check the water temperature before allowing children and the aged to use the shower. Use common sense. 7) For camping - this portable shower system is a yes. A black bag can cover the water to heat it with solar or water from a campfire can be used. Please use caution with hot water. For backpacking, it may add too much weight - but if the big shower feeling gets the family outdoors, the weight is worth the end result of happy campers. 8) Power outages, natural disasters, emergency medical, natural disasters, building and construction sites may find the shower device helpful. 9) I’m unsure how long it takes the device to charge, but can say that my device maintained a strong charge for almost a year in storage. 10) If showering while standing in a basin and using a biodegradable biologically neutral soap, soapseed, the water can be poured out in specific area without harming nature. These soaps are sold on Amazon. I do not know if they will harm the device. I used Dr. Bonner. Oils are slippery. I did not use oils in the water and recommend not using oils in the water. Use oils, lotions and creams after the shower and wear socks untucks lotions and oils are absorbed into the feet. Don’t fall. What I did not like: 1) The entire pump includes the on off switch and USB recharge port. The entire unit goes into the water. At some point water will enter the component and cause the device to stop working. I think the manufacturer should rethink having everything underwater or create a longer warranty. 2) The on/off switch which is hidden under a grey cap is awarkward to reach down into the water to turn off to power each time you need to stop the device to soap up or scrub yourself. There is no other way to stop the water flow except to reach down into the water to push to on/off button or kink the hose. The entire device looks sleek, but the trade-off is extra bending to turn off the device and water flying everywhere while trying to balance oneself on one foot to reach into the clean water and turn off the device. The grey cap must be removed to turn the device on or off. The grey cap does not appear to create a water seal around the on/off switch and may be confusing to users. I first saw this device on a YouTube channel called CheapRVLiving. I recommend going to that channel to watch that video on comparing outdoor showering devices. If you found this review helpful, please give it a click. The helpful votes help improve my writing. One of my sons said that “nobody” reads long reviews. He said people just want quick statement if the product works or not. I enjoy showing him the helpful vote numbers add up because it shows him that you kept reading to the end. I am encouraging him to spend more time reading the actual reviews instead of looking only at the stars to reduce the amount of exchanges and returns he makes. The reviews help people know what they are buying so they are satisfied customers. ... show more

  • Handy, portable, battery powered, ample flow shower
I find the Ivation portable, battery-powered shower, to be a useful device. I showered my legs & feet after a sweaty summer hike, and also when camping. It is fairly light weight, folds up & stores easily. A mounting clip is included to help stabilize for limited hands-free operation. It has basic functionality, so expect to spend Only as much shower time to use it with Major regard to the amount of water available. I have listed some points that I think are worth some time for thought... 1) flow rate is fairly strong but fixed (non adjustable); TEST IT FIRST 2) comfort level is based on you and I suggest that You make no assumptions; TEST IT FIRST ! The water temperature you are used to may require some forethought. 2) powering On-Off is by pressing a button on the pump/battery, which is always submerged during use 3) the shower’s water supply is dependent on amount of water available. It may take more than one bucket to satisfy user; TEST IT FIRST ! I RECOMMEND that you Test the shower BEFORE going out on a trip, as some experience should help replace unsupported expectations. The shower provides a fairly strong and even flow, but the flow rate is fixed, and for only as long as the water supply lasts. If your water intake is a constant water-source, as from a lake or natural stream, you should be OK, as long as there is no debris to clog the included inline water filter. The On-Off switch is located on the pump/battery, which is submerged during shower use (I wish this function was improved) and so to turn on/off the shower head, you MUST turn on/off the pump. That is that. The functions are COMBINED. Some people are accustomed to spending several minutes while showering. If you have a large water supply, then good for you. One should understand the amount of water needed for a 5 minute use and then add an additional amount of water necessary to keep the pump/battery submerged. as that is what my experience indicated; that extra half-liter maintains the minimum water volume needed to keep pump immersed, which is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED for uninterrupted use. The pump/battery (one unit) MUST be Primed and stay submerged during use. Not is biggy, but the unit may be damaged if not operated as instructed. I like it. I have not used it enough to judge battery use longevity but, when fully charged, it provided me with power for a 6 minute shower. Hint: if for a full body shower, maybe lather and rinse hair First, before the body wash. I also think that the individual suction cup supplied, is just not strong enough, by itself, to be adequate to hold up the shower head during active use. There is a hook included, but if you have no support for a hook, then I can’t see how that helps much. ... show more

  • Works very well.
I like to wash my dogs outside in summer, but I won't use cold water from the hose. I always filled watering cans with warm water from the house. It was a pain. While I still have to fill a 5 gallon bucket, this makes it so much easier to do the job. I can direct the water where I want it, making it easier to rinse. Good pressure, easy and less than the cost of one grooming. ... show more

  • Works great!
I use it in my old 5th wheel camper shower. Quick and easy to charge. Easy on and off. I heat water in my percolator, fill up a 3 gallon insulated water jug, hit the button, drop it in, works great! The uses are endless! Wash your dog, wash your car, do dishes outdoors If, etc. If you camp, this model (for the price) is a must have! ... show more

  • Amazing purchase
I recently purchased this portable shower head for bath time for my family, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. This shower head is a game-changer, especially since my kids prefer standing during their baths. The long hose provides ample flexibility, making it easy for them to move around without feeling confined. I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone in need of a versatile and efficient shower head. Its performance is truly amazing, and it has simplified bath time for my family. One tip I would offer is to dismantle the shower head after each use to allow it to dry thoroughly, especially if you use it frequently. This simple maintenance step ensures longevity and prevents any potential issues down the line. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would encourage others to invest in this fantastic portable shower head. ... show more
