I ordered these tights based on a review I saw in the NYT which recommended them as hiking tights. They fit nicely and looked good. I tried them out at the gym and then on the farm. The fabric is soft and just thick enough. It is also kind of grippy. You don’t slip and slide around on the machines. Despite the grippiness of the fabric, dirt does not seem to cling to it. I could probably use them as riding tights with boots. It was warm enough but I felt comfortable and didn’t sweat. Finally the two slash pockets are just deep enough for a small I-phone, keys and other items. The hidden pocket in the waist band fits a couple of cards and a few bills. The slash pockets could be a little deeper but otherwise no complaints. I liked them so much I ordered another pair. I didn’t give a five star review because I have no idea how well they’ll hold up over time but I am liking them so far. ... show more

Love these leggings. I tried them as a recommendation from a Wirecutter article I read in The New York Times. I trust them so I gave them a shot & glad I did. They are so soft, and fit really well, with a gusseted crotch. They have 2 size charts so I was a little confused because one put me at a size L/XL and one put me at XL/XXL. I’m 5’7” 190 have long legs but all my weight in around my middle. I went with the L/XL because I’ve never been XXL in a legging but I wish I had gone with the XXL. They are just a little snug around the middle. Not enough to return, but I’m ordering a capris in the XXL to see the different. So just take into consideration your shape when picking your size. One size chart goes by height & weight the other is actual measurements, which would be the most accurate if you extra around the middle :-) you won’t regret getting these! ... show more

I ordered these leggings after reading a New York Times article on the best leggings. These were recommended by the author, and I can see why. These look very flattering, they are soft and are very comfortable to move in. They are made of a thicker material than other leggings and according to the article are super durable (they almost sound indestructible). I was going to spend over $100 for a pair of Lululemon ones but after trying them on in the store, I didn't think there was much difference. I can have four of these pairs for the price of one of those. Fits true to size. I love that they are thicker and you don't see any imperfections like some thinner/sheer ones show. Great leggings, thick and soft material suitable for winter, but they seem a bit short and do not come all the way down to my shoes on me! I thought they were capris (which I also ordered) when I pulled them out of the package. I’m 5 ft. 6 in., 150 lb. and the L was perfect (other than the length). I wear leggings almost every day and I’ve tried a lot of brands. I really like these. I will order more pairs for casual wear. The seams and pockets are great for every day, but they are too casual for dressy occasions. But for casual everyday wear, I give these five stars and recommend them.

I read about these leggings in the New York Times. The article claimed these leggings were high waisted for a good fit, comfortable and were very soft. It was held true for me. I am tall so the length is just above my ankle The high waist fits well and stays up during yoga class. I wish they had a little more tummy control.
