I picked up two of these for about 12 bucks a piece and they're worth $12. When they're regular price 30 or $40 you might want to look elsewhere. I've been using them exclusively as breaking sticks and they seem to be fine the shafts and tips are wide probably 14 mm.

The media could not be loaded. This 42” 2-piece cue is great. At 17oz it feels heavy which I like. But it’s also very well balanced. It definitely feels and plays like a like a full sized cue. You’ll see in the attached video that it rolls perfectly straight. The tip is fairly hard but takes to a shaping tool well, and takes chalk well after shaping to your liking. The designs available are very nice, classic pool cue styles. I had a hard time choosing but went with brown/black and I’m very happy with my choice. I had previously ordered a cheaper 42” cue but it was too light even after adding weight. It played OK but did not feel good. This cue is well worth the extra $10-$15. We had purchased another brand of a ‘shortie cue’ about 4 years ago but had always been disappointed because of its light weight. This cue has great weight and balance for tighter quarters in one side of our table and a great cue for our grandkids to use as the lite developing their skills.

First it takes a little while to screw the two sticks together. Second, it is a comfortable heavy 23 oz cue stick with a quality breaking tip with good Canadian maple makes this a good breaking stick and cue stick to keep in the bag. I use a 19oz low refectory stick as my companion.
