    • Chocolate peanut butter is only the beginning.

Yes, this is advertised as chocolate peanut butter but the taste is not exactly peanut buttery. Oh no. The reality is so much more. I expected something that taste in the vicinity of a peanut butter cup. What I got was a blast of Nutella. I don't know why but to me this tastes like liquid Nutella. There's the obvious dominant flavor of chocolate but there is a definite streak of hazelnut flavor in here. The combination, as I said, creates the overall impression of sucking down Nutella. All I can say is: It. Is. Glorious. Nothing this healthy should taste this good. I'm serious. I look forward to this shake every day. As an RN, I'm on my feet and lifting or turning patients all day. This constant activity places a heavy strain on the body. This shake packs a protein punch to keep my muscles fueled and delivers a jolt of flavor that gets me through the day. Plus it's incredibly convenient. There are times when your lunch break gets cut short but with this shake I know I can get everything down quickly and feel satiated throughout the rest of the day. This isn't just a good meal replacement/supplement for when you have to get nutrients down in a hurry, it really has helped with my training and I've noticed tangible gains since using this product. Right now I'm programming with the Strong 5x5 routine. At first I was just using basic whole foods to meet protein needs however as I progressed I found myself taking longer and longer to recover fully. That's when I decided to try a protein supplement. I had tried others in the past. They were usually gritty and would mess with my stomach. So I did a lot of research on the best protein powders out there and this product came up. I can tell you that not only is my strength increasing at a steady rate but my muscles are growing in size as well. The extra boost of protein this shake provides has definitely been helpful in making and maintaining gains and we all know that it's all about the gainz! The texture isn't too bad either. There's a bit of grittiness and aftertaste but no more so than if you actually ate a spoonful of Nutella. The grittiness is certainly better than other powders I've tried. I don't think you'll ever find a perfectly smooth protein powder but this is very easy to take. Plus, the resulting shake is thick and gives you the feeling that you're actually eating something. Overall, I absolutely recommend this shake. There are no real drawbacks to using this as a supplement. The taste, while not exactly as advertised, is serenipitously delicious in its own way and their failure to perfectly capture the flavor of peanut butter has resulted in something even more amazing. Love this product. It's amazing flavor no after taste. Loaded with protein and vitamins. I highly recommend this product. It is better than a lot of the high dollar shakes. It's reasonably priced compared to others especially for what's in it. Shipping was on time and packaging was in excellent condition. Update: Started using for first time beginning of June. I have lost 10 lbs since replacing a meal a day and no exercise except my daily routines and chores.having severe nueropathy in my feet and my lower back and hip joints full of arthritis it makes it very difficult to exercise like I want to. This is a very clean shake mix and it even taste clean.i tried so many different shake mixes and also being diabetic this shake mix has helped to keep my sugars regulated since it's a meal replacement for me. I add some fruit and bananas. My favorite is 2 frozen bananas and cup of frozen papaya. For some reason this combination keeps me regulated and helps remove Xtra fluid from my body. Don't mean to get to personal but I can't express enough how much this shake mix has made a difference for me. You really don't need to go spend a lot of money on big name brands this one will work great. My hair has even gotten stronger I'm guessing it's from the large amount of protien. Women are suppose to have at least 60 grams of protein a day. I also love to add greens like spinach in my shakes sometimes for the iron and other nutrients. On another keynote; I have found out GNC puts the 3lb shake mixes at reduced rate of half off when the shelf life is like 2 to 3 months before expiring I got 2-3 lb tubs for $25 each you cannot beat that.But the price here on Amazon is very reasonable also you don't even have to do 2scoops you can split and do 2shakes a day 1scoop each and still get the whole 50grams of protien and replace 2 meals a day and eat 1 well balanced meal. I SUGGEST ADDING A CUP OF NATURAL LOW SUGAR FRUIT LIKE PAPAYA AND BANANAS ALONG WITH SOME KAYLE OR SPINACH. THERE IS NO AFTER TASTE NOR SUGARY TASTE. My shakes I make taste better then Smoothie King. This is a real review by a real customer . I wrote this review because I believe in this product. I use the Creamy Vanilla because it's versitile and you can add to it. Don't spend $100's of dollars for something when this is the best keep secret in shake mixes. It has pleanty of vitamins and minerals. You cannot go wrong. I have not tried other flavors because I like vanilla for adding fruits and veggies. I know this shake mix doesn't have a diet after taste or taste to SUGARY. The protein per calories ratio is incredible, so I'll probably keep with this. I've so far had the strawberry and the Dutch Chocolate. Neither is that sweet. It was so not sweet that it was actually surprising. However, it's still delicious. 5 stars easy. If you don't like sweet protein powder, then this is for you. Updated Review -- So I've had to drop a star for this, simply because it mixes terribly without a blender or any sort of equipment. If my water is even a little bit cold, it won't mix well. It doesn't make the product bad or anything like that. Its still 100% going to be my go to moving forward just for its protein:calorie ratio, but I just wished it mixed better. On the other hand, I've been using this in the Ninja Creami to make ice cream and its amazing. It seems to mix just fine in milk using a mixer and the results are great. I do put a little sweetener to help with that aspect, but its delicious. ... show more
