I was surprised at how small the box was, but it turns out the rug was folded and vacuum-sealed. The rug has a nice padded back on it—like a nice padded bath mat. The rug was nice and soft and the shag part was really soft to the touch. The rug didn’t shed (a problem I’ve had with other shag rugs). I’m planning to buy rugs for a few other rooms in the house.
