  • A perfect Fit
High level of quality and perfect fit. Get wide if you don't have Skinny feet. First day of wearing and only got a tiny bit of heel rub but no blister. These are the best bang for your buck in this price range or possibly even in higher price ranges. I tried almost all of them in the 150 range and these are the best quality that I found. ... show more

  • So far so good.
Size: 14 Color: Brown
So far so good, only been wearing them a few days now so my feet are still getting used to the support level, moved from a hiking type shoe to a work boot hoping to get better support and longevity. The leather is surprisingly soft and pliable right out of the box, they fit well, and they look nice. Had a 12 hour day in them yesterday and my feet weren't the sorest part of my body (walk around on hard surfaces average 7-10 miles a day). If they maintain comfort and hold up, the four star may become a five. Update: 6 months in the four star did become a 5 star. These seem to get more comfortable every day, the leather is pretty supple now, and other than having to get one of them stretched to accommodate a large foot, which is hardly the boots fault, they've been great. Just clean and oil them every three months or so, takes 10 minutes and it keeps the leather from drying out and water resistant. They also look brand new every time you're done, been using the sofsole mink oil, works really well. UPDATE: I've had these boots for about 8 months now and they have broken in very nicely. I did have to get one of them stretched a little (left foot is wider than my right foot), but that was no big deal. I walk around on hard surfaces all day (7-9 miles a day) and these boots have kept my feet in pretty good shape. They are getting close to needing a re-sole and I will definitely do that as opposed to getting a new pair, even thought the price isn't that different the leather has gotten so soft and supple I don't want to get rid of them. I find if you oil them regularly (1-2 months) they stay looking pretty new and supple. Great boot, going to get another pair for my camping and fishing trips. ... show more

  • Just buy you some Irish Setters
Size: 13 Wide Color: Tan Nubuck
Worth every penny. My current boots(Rockys) were hurting my feet on concrete all day. These boots have been wonderful, no pain. Broken in 1/2 way through the first day of wearing. I don't think I'll be trying out any other brands for a good long while. Seem very durable and i do believe they'll last a while. Did I mention how good looking they are? ... show more

  • Be sure to get size wide
Size: 12 Wide Color: Brown
Boots were new and came in the box but they had a few scuff marks and what looked like glittery fingerprints all over them...a good wipe down and no worries... Also, be sure to get them in wide fit.. Even the wide fit are tight.. Great Boots & great price

  • My GOAT boot
Size: 10 Color: Brown
These are quite comfortable at a resonable price point with a decent service length. I get a new pair approximately once a year. I work in finish carpentry with all kinds of materials.

  • Comfortable and stylish
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Brown
I recently decided to purchase a pair of work boots. Not wanting to spend too much money on a high priced pair of Red Wings to destroy, I did some research and came across the Irish Setter brand, which is the entry brand for Red Wings. The requirements were that it had to have a Goodyear welt (for durability) and have little to no break in period. These boots check those marks. The leather feels strong but is not uncomfortable. They have been getting more comfortable as I wear them. The insole is fiberboard I believe, covered with a comfortable insert that is removable/replaceable with a new or orthopedic one. Since they are made by Red Wing Shoes, I visited a local store to try them on. They did not have the style I wanted so I purchased them through Amazon. I’m usually a 10 in shoes (although it may vary by a half size) and settled on a 9.5 wide. The toe box is plenty spacious and they are not long to where it looks like I am wearing clown shoes. Overall very impressed. I do wish these had a leather midsole (rather than plastic which could crack) but for the price, the omission is understandable. I have seen several videos on YouTube of these boots being re-soled and modified to have a leather midsole. If these last, I may just purchase a new pair rather than attempting repair. These are stylish but also ready for work right out of the box. The only downside I have encountered is the laces. They seem to have a bit of give after being tied to where I feel they loosen a bit throughout the day. I’m not sure if it’s the way I walk or tie them. I replaced them with leather laces I had and have not had that issue. ... show more

Couldn’t afford the Red Wings but these are great. I use them on the farm and I’m happy with em so far. Very comfortable and even my 23 year old son said they look nice.
