I don't use these for measuring, but I do use them for distributing small amounts of chemicals that I buy in large containers. Because I have to use a syringe to get out what might be distributed in drops or in milliliters, these are a fantastic way to store quantities that come in multi-gallon containers without having to get special equipment just to get out 10 drops. The first thing you notice about these things is that they are heavier than you think they would be. This is because the glass is thick. I don't think you could break these if you dropped them. The other thing you notice is that the cap or closing system is extremely secure and thick enough that it gives you confidence. There is a portion of plastic at the lip of the glass container made of the same material as the cap itself. This is what is used to form a secure barrier. Everything feels oversized and over engineered for safety and longevity. They just don't feel cheap in any way shape or form, and I can't recommend these enough. I can't speak for all the other no-name brands out there, but I guess I lucked out. ... show more
