These come READY TO PLAY WITH needing no assembly. They are big enough for little hands, and present no hazards to littles. My son has so much fun playing with these little cars and is able to tell me what sounds the animal makes driving them so they're also a great value for learning animals and colors! My 1yo loves these and has been using them for a few months now. I only opened two incase they broke I’d have the other two as back up but they have been thrown and kicked around and they still work perfect! He loves to hold it down and drag it across the floor. Got these for my son, so once he starts crawling, he has something to chase after. They are super cute and go faster than I thought they would. They don't work on carpet very well. You have to give them a nudge if on carpet. Was a little disappointed that we didn't get all the animals. We ended up with two cows and no giraffe.
