Pros: Easy connectivity, the keyboard has a nice feel to it, and everything fits snug (almost too snug where the Apple Pencil is concerned, it takes some manipulation to take it out). Cons: I probably should have read other reviews. Having to remove the keyboard to angle the iPad is a little annoying. Also, there's really no place to put the keyboard if you just want to fold the cover back and hold the iPad as a portrait tablet; you just leave it to the side - with the potential to forget it when you put the tablet away. Personal con: I wish the color was a little brighter. It's more a mint, than an actual green. If you are going to use your iPad at school as a "computer", or at work during meeting, this case is fine. If, however, you want the full versatility of your tablet, it can be a bit cumbersome with the removable keyboard. Am I remorseful over my purchase? Not really. I like the look and feel. I just received this product so I will try and update this review in a couple of months for longevity. So far I have a great impression of this product. It arrived already charged so I was able to connect right away. Pros: -Keyboard is automatically in iOS mode, it pairs with the iPad instantly. You can also put it into a mode that will pair with android devices too. -Automatically pairs after first time. -Great typing response time. No lagging. -Pretty backlight options but it can also be shut off for daytime use. -The Apple Pencil holder works to charge and protects the Apple Pencil 2. -Sleek overall design. -You can buy a separate small/slim keyboard and it will still fit within the case. Cons: -Keyboard is pretty loud. I had to purchase a different Bluetooth keyboard to use during meetings/lectures. -Cannot fit the Apple Pencil if you use a cover on the pencil. I like to have a silicone cover on mine while in use. Like I said, I’ll update later. So far so good :) ... show more

Great purchase so far! I purchased this for my ipad, which hasn't arrived yet, but will tomorrow. So to test the product I paired it with my phone. It has an initial charge, I'm not sure if it's a full or partial charge. I'd assume partial. It comes with a micro USB cable, so that's always good. These days I tend to assume nothing comes with things I need. It saves me disappointment later. Anyway, I got off topic. The backlighting is gorgeous and VERY even. Multiple colors. The functions are pretty clear on what they are and how to make it work, but if you're tech challenged like I am it also comes with a detailed in plain speak user manual. Easy pairing. Very easy. Also, the typing is AWESOME on my phone. There is no lag when typing out the words, it's just like typing on a computer keyboard. The materials for the actual ipad housing seem VERY sturdy and despite the pricing, not at all flimsy and cheap. Definitely seems like a case that will protect my ipad against the inevitable fall that comes from having 3 cats that like to knock things over. Also, the exterior. WOW. So when I read that it's got the whatchamacallit non slide material I was like "yeah okay." But it actually seems like it would work well. It's non slide without being sticky too. I have mixed feelings honestly. it is great for the price however as advertised the apple pencil is supposed to fit at the top which it does not at least not the gen 2 apple pencil. I have an Ipad air 4th gen and it needs a gen 2 apple pencil yet I cannot carry it in the case. Also, the keyboard lights are a bit of a hassle to figure out at first even after reading the instructions. ... show more

This is a good case for the price. I wish people would stop using the word “leather” for vinyl, but I’ve gotten used to that on Amazon. This case is fairly light and fits the new-gen iPad Air well, the keyboard is easy to connect and the backlighting works. I’ve owned several iPad hard cases with keyboards over the years and this is my first “folio” style one. It takes a little getting used to if you are used to hard cases because in order to type comfortably, you need to 1) fold the angled cover behind the iPad, then 2) slide the keyboard towards or away from you until it secures the iPad at the right angle. (Which angle will depend on whether the iPad is on your lap or a table.) So far this seems to wrk for me. Also, the frame that the iPad is inserted in fits securely but it prevents me from using the fingerprint reader. So, 4 stars, not 5. ... show more

What I liked was the size and durability of the iPad. However in the attempt to setting up the iPad it locked up on me and I forgot the 6 digit passcode I entered in the Security access that unlocks the iPad to use it. Apple security system only allowed me only a small amount of rertries to guess what the passcode I entered. Then the iCloud security software disabled my iPad. I looked through Apples online support to see if there was a solution to this problem. I tried several solutions mentioned in there procedures to correct this issue but didn't get the iPad useable. I called Apples support center and didn't get any further than I did online using their support database. So now I have a $550.00 paper weight sitting on my desk. I might do better online using u-tube procedures that's my next step. Frustrated! By the way the carrying case and keyboard are excellently made and fit the ipad perfectly. ... show more

This is the absolute worst keyboard I have ever used. The case and set up is nice; however, i am currently typing with my fingers because the keyboard needs to charge. The battery life is a joke ( fulll time student so this is beyond frustrating..1 hr of how 1 hr of charge). Once the battery starts going the first thing that happens is the space bar does not work. I think anyone can imagine how frustrating that is. Then the keyboard buttons will start acting up and you’ll lose your work. To say this keyboard is frustrating is not doing justice- it is a nightmare! The only thing I can think is a have a defected one or this company is really just the worst ever. Again nice set up nice compatibility but do yourself a favor and just get the one from apple…this thing sucks (I’m using the tablet keyboard which is annoying ultimately less frustrating than using the damn keyboard. ... show more

I bought this with anticipation of a low cost keyboard, for my iPad Air.. you constantly have to adjust the keyboard, to open and operate the keyboard/iPad. The iPad sits against the keyboard once you adjust the keyboard but there is no stability to secure the upright iPad. iPad constantly fell backwards anytime I shifted the tablet..When you were finished, you had to readjust the keypad, to securely close the case.. Too much hassle for me.. On a positive note, the holder for the Apple Pencil secured well, to the case.. I ended up returning it and going with a slightly more expensive case (with a lighted, floating keyboard case-an ESR). With the offered discount, was able to pay less than 100.00.. You do get what you pay for.. Just couldn't see paying 300 for the Apple case.. Hope this helps ... show more

Overall, the case does what it’s supposed to: it covers/protects and the keyboard works. All functions are just fine. Color is beautiful (I got purple) and pretty accurate to color description. But, it’s not a greatly made case. Material is a bit more flimsy than I expected it to be and the material has a very processed/plastic type of feel and scratches easily. The keyboard is also very basic, thin and not very strong/sturdy so make sure to keep it on the magnet! The media could not be loaded. I love this product a lot because it gives me the feel of having a laptop. I love the way the keyboard feels, it’s lightweight, it lights up, easy to use. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because it does get annoying when you have to close your iPad and the keyboard doesn’t go with it. When I bought it, I thought the keyboard would be attached to the case but it’s not. It’s separate from the case so whenever I close my iPad I have to put the keyboard in a separate area and that’s how it will get lost. So that’s a big issue for me but other than that I freaking loveeeeeeeee this product. I just wish I could keep it attached to the case somehow. Oh and you do have to charge the keyboard, it’s Bluetooth so once you connect it to your iPad your good to go. I love typing with it, it makes it so much easier for me to do what I need to do in my iPad. I was thinking about getting a laptop but then I came across this product and thought it was a great idea. So if you have an iPad already and don’t want to spend money on getting a laptop, this product is good for you if you don’t mind that the separation of the keyboard and the case.
