  • Amazing
This is such a fantastic book. If it's already sitting on your self, or if your contemplating getting it, I highly suggest you read it! It was life changing for me! It's inspiring, encouraging and its written so well. I'm planning on reading it again in about 5 years. My daughter also read it and she loved it too. It helped me get out of a huge funk I have been in and it did so in a beautiful, gentle way.. not pushing or micromanag-y way. I learned so much and have done one of the suggestions and it was life changing and healing. I am a slow reader and am very picky about books. I always will read 50 pages and if I like it I'll continue and if I don't like it I'll stop. I was able to read this easily and resonated with it. I can definitely tell that this book was written with conscious energy and lots of love. My favorite book I've read on witchcraft/spirituality by far. ... show more

  • Great for all levels of "witchiness". Supportive, innovative and encouraging!
I have been Witch for over 50 years and many times, when I purchase a new book, I am not expecting challenges to my way of thinking. I read them and am often disappointed that there is not much new for me to explore. Imagine my surprise and happiness when I read this fresh and very perceptive book with an approach that will be helpful to not only a person who is beginning a journey into exploring the magickal possibilities but to someone who has been practicing for years. I've always been a solitary, partly because there were no other like minded folk where I began my journey, but also because I came to find value in many different pantheons and because I developed an eclectic style of working that was mine alone. I knew, in my heart, that what I was doing was right for me but hesitated to expose my approach to others with more traditional leanings. Astrea Taylor, unafraid, encourages this intuitive thinking and nudges you into trying new things in your work. Read it! Whether you are new to the Craft or have been practicing for years, you will find new ways to hone your skills! ... show more

  • Intuitive Witchcraft by Astrea Taylor
Intuitive Witchcraft by Astrea Taylor gave me so much inspiration and hope. When I started looking into witchcraft, I found a vast array of topics I was interested in. I also found a lot of people stuck to one "type" or mastered specific things. I love that this book explains that intuitive witchcraft is about following your intuition, and that might mean bouncing over and over. I think this book is very well written. Sometimes helpful books can be kind of dry, but Astrea Taylor writes almost poetically at times, and it really kept me invested. This is a book I will be reading again, as I think it has a lot of useful information that will help me as I grow. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Empowering for anyone practicing witchcraft or wanting to begin a practice
This is such a lovely beautifully written book that I will be able to use as an ongoing resource in my magical practices! The author is so informative about so many things which is wonderful but what I like the most is there are so many ideas about creating ritual in your own life and you can get ideas and apply them to your own personal practice or just use them as a way to begin one. I love the basis of intuitive witchcraft because I have always found that my intuition is what guides me in my practice, however I often get swayed by others and what it is they are doing, or what is said to be right or wrong and I end up feeling like my spirituality becomes dead. This points to where our personal power is and also gives a myriad of ways to connect to this. ... show more

There is a large body of seekers for whom externally-directed spiritual practice does not resonate. If that is you, this book will be a beacon on your path. For many of us, our personal spiritual practices have always been 100% intuitive. Not a belief system, a religion, hierarchical, or requiring a historically-derived set of practices, our witchery is an infrastructure upon which to hang or not hang any of the above as desired. It's fluid and able to evolve, die, re-birth, be challenged, and be shared along the way. Astrea Taylor supports this magic in Intuitive Witchcraft. ... show more

  • A comprehensive new kind of beginner book
I'm not well in touch with my intuition. I've learned to live firmly with the world I can interact with. But I'm aware there are senses beyond the five physical senses, and I'm seeking to build those to greater explore my world and my spirituality. I've read several beginner's books in witchcraft, so I found a lot of the content in this book redundant to my preexisting knowledge. However, the approach Taylor describes, while a little too untethered for me, gives me a direction to move in. If someone were to ask me for a place to begin in their studies of witchcraft, I'd recommend this book in my top 3. I'm grateful for her further reading lists and for the very modern, self-aware, and culturally sensitive approach to spirituality. ... show more

  • Must-Read for Modern Witches
The best book on witchcraft I’ve ever read. Since I was a teenager, I’ve collected books on witchcraft. Yet none of them “felt right” to me, and I wondered at times if perhaps my lifelong calling towards witchcraft was really just wishful thinking. But then I came across this book. Where many other books on witchcraft prescribe a very specific way one is supposed to practice, this book provides options and encourages the reader to follow their own intuition. The author encourages people to create their own rituals, to craft their own practice. It’s an approach to witchcraft that truly resonates with me. After reading this book, I finally felt sure of my calling and finally had the confidence to create my own path. I’m very grateful to the author for writing this book. ... show more

  • One of the most heartfelt, inclusive, and compelling books I've read about witchcraft.
This book is great for anyone, whether you're a beginner witch or an advanced practioner. The author writes clearly and concisely about intuition in witchcraft and how it applies to witchcraft in life and in ritual. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, will read it again, and would recommend to other witches! ... show more
