This is a beautiful urn! What everyone doesn't say is exactly how to open the bottom. They just say the bottom slides out., So, to be more specific, yes it does slide out but that piece where you take the screw out, that front edge there is more like a handle to sliding out the bottom. So, it's not just the bottom like what a person thinks, but it is that edge and the bottom that slide out together. My husband had to tap it several times before it would slide out with a hammer but be careful you don't want to break it. Don't pry up on it, just pull out on it to slide it out. I hope this makes it a little clearer for someone! I bought this for my father's ashes, and it worked perfectly! The one memory that we all have in common is our father playing his guitar when we were little kids, and we would all sing and dance together. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the actual delivery size that was actually delivered because that’s not the measurements that was advertised. I’m am now scrambling to find an Urn for my mom that will actually fit the Mausoleum. The advertisement on the Amazon description says for the Small Wooden Urn 8Hx4.75 but I actually received 8.5Hx5. This will not fit the space needed in the Mausoleum. I specifically ordered this one because of the size and it’s very frustrating that I now have to find one ASAP before I leave the Country. This Urn is so beautiful and now I won’t be able to use this Urn because of the size. VERY SAD! ... show more
