The media could not be loaded. This kit is a great introduction to those interested in model building. That doesn’t mean it’s easy, but it will give you an opportunity to practice building with wood, paper and repurposed bits. From adding the lighting to building individual flowers it will challenge you but results are so satisfying. Some of the instructions aren’t super clear — they don’t explain how to glue the pieces together only show you. I recommend using an xacto knife and both tacky glue and super glue, along with sharp scissors. I’m about halfway finished and notice some paper cutouts really need to have bleed (extra area around the edges) to make it easier to align, especially the floor and walls. Some of the items are not scaled correctly to each other, like the fish pond. I decided to customize the kit to feel more like an apothecary, so I printed out my own floor and wall paper designs, and painted the furniture. This kit is fun. A thing to keep in mind tho is the instructions are very picture driven. Do not throw away any pieced you punched out until the end also if not you my toss a piece needed later. This is a very intriguing, slightly tedious. Though it looks great for images.

Great quality, ok instructions but they would be hard to follow for a beginner. There’s no words, just pictures. However, I’m missing several pieces, including four that I need to finish the floor, and one of the light bulbs I got doesn’t work.

This doesn't appear to be a Rolife model, but this model kit stands alongside them just the same. It boils down a complex-appearing room to simple smaller items. Then once you assemble them, it's so rewarding watching them come together. You get a box of wooden pieces, paper pictures to be cut out, and a couple bags filled with wires, beads and strings. If you've never done one of these models, you might think you may have bitten off more than you can chew. But think of it less like you're assembling a giant model, and more like you're putting together 100 tiny models. The manual walks you through everything easily, item by item. Focus on putting together the first plant or the first chair. Before you know it, your box of parts will be empty as they turn into all these items for your model. Even then, the pile of items might look chaotic, but once you put them together into the final display, you'll be awestruck at what you've created. While I'm giving this model five stars, I wouldn't recommend starting with this greenhouse if you've never done one of these before. Most of the items here are plants, and they can be particularly tedious, needing lots of little cuts to paper that could end up a gluey frustrating mess. Definitely start with something like Sam's Bookstore before you venture into something plant-heavy like the greenhouse. This model doesn't come with glue, and I HIGHLY recommend Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. You need minimal dabs of glue for this kit's tiny pieces, and that brand will give you the control you need to be precise. The model took about 25 hours total to build. The instructions were generally pretty easy to follow without either holding your hand or being too obtuse. The one caveat is that the instructions change towards the end when it's time to build the "glass" enclosure. At that point, a few of the directions aren't so clear and might require some trial and error to figure out. But by the time the final assembly was finished, the greenhouse looked amazing. You always kind of doubt that it's going to come out OK, probably because of all the time you've sunk into it. But here, what appeared to be a flimsy plastic covering turned out to be exactly the greenhouse enclosure it promised to be. This one ended up having more depth than most of the other models because it has an exterior with its own detail. Then you can look inside the greenhouse and see all the other little creations you brought forth. ... show more

This product is missing several pieces. The first pic shows the paper that is supposed to make several fluffy flowers. Not happening. The second pic shows the open wires that should have been attached to the battery box. At this point I am not sure what else may be missing. I bought a bookstore diy kit from Cutebee, also from Amazon, and I highly recommend that company. My kit came with real instructions, not just pictures, and lights ready for batteries. I thoroughly enjoyed constructing it and was completely happy with the finished product. Lesson learned. ... show more
