i was not expecting for this to be this sturdy!it feels very well built and feels expensive. the pop filter feels so well made and so does the actual mic holder and arm. no instructions though but its really easy to figure out by looking at the pic. this has a piece to attach any mic , and even comes with a troubleshooting guide. i got one for 30$ at guitar center and this EASILY is better quality. just get this mic and i guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised. i have a home studio and im upgrading my equipment to start a new chapter, and i wanted my setup to look good, and feel sturdy and not cheap. this did perfectly! you can even customize it for when your standing and sitting on the same surface. Got this for a mic my friend got me, stays really steady, hasn't minded being bumped and hasn't drooped. it doesn't have the greatest range of motion, but it keeps it off the desk and the vibration mount and pop filter have way outperformed expectations for a 20$ mic stand. overall it's been a solid purchase ... show more

UPDATE 7/9/21: Just wanted to update an issue with this stand. I BEG the manufacturer to consider upgrading the quality of the screws. Potentially from the hard plastic they currently use to just plain metal or something stronger than the current material. I realize it costs more but here is my problem- As a streamer, my daughter has to constantly adjust these screws that hold her mic where she wants it. That means a lot of tightening and untightening because she folds it and stands it up out of the way when she isn't using it. She is by no means some she-hulk that can just crush hard plastic or anything for that matter in her hands. In fact as she would say, she is pretty weak. That being said, she yesterday went to adjust the the screw on the actual microphone holder and it literally just shattered/exploded between her pointer finger and thumb and crumpled into pieces. She was not doing so aggressively, just normally like she has been and it still happened. It literally just shattered/exploded between her fingers without warning and actually cut her thumb because cracked pieces just embedded themselves into her skin. The screw is now completely gone and that part of her mic can now only be adjusted with pliers. So it still works, but obviously that isn't ideal. Other than that she has not had any real issue with it. And has even said that if need be she will be rebuying this same one when the time comes. Pictures are now provided of the broken screw, she had to remove a few small pieces that did not break off with the rest because they were sharp. Because of this issue, I've lowered from 5 stars to 4. ORIGINAL REVIEW. My daughter recently needed to replace her Microphone stand and decided to buy this. She was worried it might not be compatible with it but thankfully it is, and it's very sturdy! Its actually nearly the same design as the one that came with her mic a year and a half ago. But it's MUCH better and a lot sturdier. Definitely will last for at the least another year and a half but probably longer. Great value. ... show more

This boom arm is definitely worth it. The Arm its self feels extremely high quality and so do the springs. It easily fit and held my 4 pound microphone including the shock mount, cables, and cable ties. Same goes for the high quality desk mount. The shock mount held my microphone very well with minimal moment. I love how this comes with cable ties. The cable ties are made out of a high quality velcro and can be re-used time and time again. The Pop Filter worked really well getting rid of the cutting out of a microphone when saying a word with a hard p in it. Overall it’s a steal and a 10-10. ... show more

I got this set to support a Samson Q2U mic, and I'm very satisfied overall! This set doesn't come with a windscreen for the mic, but in this case the mic itself did so I'm not fussed about that (and there's no guarantee one not made for the particular mic would work properly). Some reviews have complained about sagging and lack of support. For me so far over several weeks it hasn't been a problem at least yet. There isn't a thumbscrew to tighten the angle of the mic clip, so that's the main place I would expect to see problems with that. There is one on the shock mount. However, I found that it was way too large to support the mic. Using the somewhat poorly written instructions to adjust the nylon bands to grip it more snugly, however, it's at least passable for horizontal use, which as far as I can tell is the intended use of this type of mic. All told, it's been pretty excellent for my purposes and definitely for its price range. You will want to make sure that the edge you'll mount it to has a fairly sharp edge - a rounded one could cause some problems with clamping it on. But I'm rather pleasantly surprised with how well it works for such a low cost. I can float the mic around with little to no effort, setup was easy, the included cable ties make it easy to keep wires up and out of the way, and the gooseneck pop filter is a nice bonus so one doesn't have to buy it separately. Overall this is a really solid piece of kit for at least amateur use. ... show more
