  • Sturdy and minimalistic boomarm
So when looking for a boomarm, i was looking for something that would look nice, but also be able to support my mic without breaking the bank. This boomarm fit the bill exactly. It was very easy to assemble and you can also hide the cables along the back of both arm sections. Theres a long strip of rubber that fits into the grooves of the boomarm where you run your cable through. I also like that you don't have to worry about your cable popping out because of how secure it is. I have an mv7x, and this arm accommodates my mic without any issues at all. The clamp is also very wide, so you shouldnt have any issues clamping it down on your desk. Overall, this is a great boomarm that can make your setup look very clean. I highly recommend this boomarm to people that are going for a minimalist setup because of how well you can hide your xlr cable along the back of it. ... show more

  • Sturdy Mic Arm For A Great Price
This is an extremely sturdy and well built mic boom arm, especially for the price. My old one I believe I paid about $15 for a whole kit of stuff and while it worked fine for my old mic, a Blue Encore 300. When I upgraded to a Shure SM7db or using a JZ Amethyst, the arm wasn't nearly steady enough for a more weighty microphone. This arm I paid around double that and it is worth every penny. It doesn't bounce, moves extremely smooth, and definite commendations on the base being sturdy metal with a soft grip. I have used some of the mic arms that are in the $100+ range with other people's set ups. I definitely feel this matches the quality pretty well. The cable hiding system is a nice add on and works just fine. I am considering getting the extension tube for the end piece where the mic attaches. As the XLR cable does bend a bit for the position that I like to use it when I have the SM7db on. (just a side quirk that comes with the awesome SM7's yoke mount) Overall a great arm, would perhaps really give it 4 3/4 stars had I not gotten it on a deal which made it around 20% off. So with that in mind, 5 stars all the way around. If it holds up I will buy another next time my setup expands for sure! ... show more

  • Essential Boom Arm for Home Studios
This microphone boom arm is fantastic for my home studio setup. Not only is it sturdy, but easy to adjust, holding my microphone securely in place. Installation couldn't be easier and it has a professional look and feel. Perfect for gamers, podcasters, or musicians who want to have an easily accessible mic on their desks. ... show more

  • Good strong microphone boom arm with one flaw...
The boom arm itself is fantastic, featuring effective cable management and sturdy joints for excellent stability. However, there's a notable flaw: despite the product description claiming a 4.4-pound capacity, the extension tube where the microphone attaches can only hold about 2 pounds in a horizontal or upright position. It sags under heavier microphones, forcing them to point downwards. Tightening the extension doesn't solve this issue, as it still rotates to point down. An adjustable extension length would be ideal to reduce leverage and allow heavier mics to be positioned horizontally or upright. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase, but I'll need to work around this limitation. ... show more

  • Works great!
The arm holds my mic great. The cable channel is easy to use and works amazing. It's quite when adjusting the arm. Lots of tension on arm also. Overall it's a sleek and good mic stand.

  • Very quiet.
I worked as a broadcaster for many years. I mis the size of those booms, but not the build. The springs cause unwanted noise, and they wear out. This boom makes no noise. No spring noise. No noise when you adjust positions, and it is of solid construction. Don't waste your time searching around. I have owned and used many booms. This is the perfect boom for any studio. I'm thinking of getting a few more for a podcast studio ... show more

  • It's just as great as advertised.
I like the rubber/plastic (unsure) inserts to hide the cable. This is a very clean-looking stand for a microphone. It's sturdy, smooth in function, and a joy to have on my desk. I noticed nothing negative about it that wasn't common with all other mic stands I've had ... usually all of the clamp-style stands are a bit shaky at the base. ... show more
