I'm quite pleased with this unit, seems to work as advertised and is built sturdily. A minor annoyance is the teeny little manual has type that one needs a microscope to read. The manual, however, is online, I downloaded and printed out at a decently-sized version. The controls to set humidity and other functions are straightforward and well-described. One issue with the manual is that the unit automatically figures out whether one wants to use it to control a humidifier or a dehumidifier, a little confusing at first on how it knows. A more detailed look at the manual gave me the information I wanted. Turns out the unit has to AC output plugs, one to plug in a humidifier, the to plug in a dehumidifier. Theoretically then, one could put a humidifier and dehumidifier in the same room and let them duke it out. ... show more

I wanted to replace my old humidifier. I like how the new ones work, and I bought a well-reviewed one with WiFi. The humidifier worked great, and the software was easy to use. Then, I discovered that it only maintains the humidity in a 10% range, along with other disturbing "features." I exchanged it for one that doesn't measure the humidity at all 8-( The Inkbird did exactly what the digital humidifier should have done. It allows me to set the target humidity and range below (and above, it also works with dehumidifiers,) and it also allows alarms for high/low humidity and even calibration. I use this in my spare bedroom/grow room, works perfectly with the $30 WELOV 6L top fill humidifier and probably most dehumidifiers... much less worry!

    • Stopped working about 2 hrs after set up. No power to work 1 or work 2 outlets.
So much for the 4+ stars it was rated. Update: the replacement unit sent has been working as expected.

I purchased this to maintain humidity in my mushroom fruiting chamber. The controller maintains the humidity level where it needs to be without running the humidifier constantly. It maintains the levels right where they need to be for mushrooms without leading to water buildup in the chamber from running the humidifier constantly. The instructions are a little hard to understand, but after working with it for a while it is easy to set up. I will buy more of these as my mushroom farm expands. ... show more
