This is a great option for incubating a dozen or less chicken eggs. For twelve large chicken eggs, they will fit, but it may be a bit tight. I currently have six eggs in the incubator. My initial concern was about the accuracy of the built-in thermometer. I checked it with a medical thermometer after running it for about four hours and the reading matched exactly! Setup is easy, and the temperature and humidity set points can be adjusted. You will need the instructions for the codes to set temp and humidity set points, high and low limits, alarms, and egg roll frequency and duration. This is a great little incubator. We have ducks and my wife wanted to see if we could get a few more. The incubator was super easy to set up and seems to be working perfectly. It rolls the eggs on a editable schedule, the heat remains consistent... the humidity takes a little fiddling. Then again we live in the Pacific Northwest, so the ambient humidity changes almost hourly - well, daily at least. She is a week in and the eggs seems to be doing great. I'm not sure how many are fertilized... so I don't know how many will hatch, but we will see in a few more weeks.... ... show more

This incubator is designed for hatching up to 12 eggs, making it ideal for small scale hatcheries, and it’s perfect for both beginners and more experienced users. I've had it in use for 10 days and all of my eggs are progressing good. The turner moves extremely slow......so slow that I didn't think it was working at first. This is advertised as a twelve egg incubator, but it only holds nine normal sized chicken eggs. It may hold twelve quail eggs. It is easy to set up and use. I like that it came with insulation in case I need to set it in a cold room or by a draft. It humidifies and auto turns, so those are important features for viability. It has an egg candler light built in on the top, so that is handy when determining continued viability of the eggs. It seems to have a stable temperature. My eggs are doing fine so far, but I'm only one day in on the setting, so time remains to see if the eggs hatch.
