  • 90% of a perfect short cable, but bad 10% is a serious issue
Color: Saturn Gold
Buying something like a USB cable or adapter is incredibly cumbersome, loaded with products that either misrepresent or lack clarity in their descriptions, and can involve buying & returning nine clunkers before what you need and expect arrives as #10. But products like this one are just as frustrating: this has every feature and capability I’m looking for, but the one flaw almost makes this cable worthless: + To switch either end’s male connector between USB-A, USB-C and iPhone Lightning, you pull and rotate the main connector out of the way of the other, achieved using a hinge (see last two photos). + But when the alternate connector is revealed and the hinged part is out of the way, the hinged part has nowhere to go…you can swing it to either side, but the product design fails to make this as elegant and sturdy as the rest of the cable. The piece just swings, or juts out at an awkward angle. + The magnetic snap that holds this cable in the folded position is great: strong magnet, good ‘click’ when the magnets meet, and the metal casing has a solid fit and appropriate weight. Unfortunately, this is a cable that I will have to see and even feel in my pocket, when connected to my phone and emergency charge bar. I’m afraid the failure to design this so the alternate connector mechanism isn’t an awkward, unresolved hack. It would be great if the maker found a new approach to swapping connectors: I’d buy it on the spot, and even pay a bit more for the improvement. ... show more

  • Works as intended
Color: Mercury Grey
I've only really had to use it twice but it's been very helpful for sure. Used it to charge my S21 and Friends IPhone 13. Main issue is that the inner Type C and lightning connector hidden under the other connecter do not have the same "lip" as the exterior Type C so the inside connectors have to sit flush against the surface of the phone. If the phone has a cover and the charge port opening isn't wide enough you'll have to remove the cover to have a good connection or it'll be too loose. Not a cable you'd want to use if you plan on using the phone often while charging. Cable is short and it's not a fast charger. I'd still recommend as an emergency back up cable. Convient when needed and discreet on the keychain. ... show more

  • MUST HAVE FOR TRAVEL
Color: Mercury Grey
This tiny keychain adapter has saved my butt numerous times while traveling alone on business trips. Since I have an Android but most people have Apple, it can be challenging to find an available USB-C charger if I forget to bring one with me on the road. I can't begin to count the times when I've asked a friend or colleague to borrow their charger only to find that they have an Apple charger. There have also been times where I remembered to bring a charging cable only to find that both ends are USB-C plug-ins but I failed to bring the USB-C to USB adapter. This tiny little keyring cable is a lifesaver. ... show more

  • Nifty little gadget
Color: Mercury Grey
They’ve managed to get several input/output modes onto one small cable. Bought it for an upcoming trip and it’s small size is great!

  • Great compact adapter
Color: Mercury Grey
This is a very compact charging adapter. It fits nicely in the case that holds all my charging stuff and takes the place of 2 or 3 cables. My only issue is that it is too short to work with my phone with a Lonheim cover but it works on everything else.

  • Perfect keychain carry - not for holding your keys, though.
Color: Mercury Grey
This is the highest quality cord set I have found that can provide these cables. The magnet that keeps them closed on your keychain is pretty strong, but could be a bit stronger, as I do wonder if it may someday fall off - more likely in a pocket then when hanging on keys, however.

  • Great Product, Perfect For EDC, Despite Abysmal Transfer Speeds
Color: Mercury Grey
Update (2/15/21): Since my original review I’ve learned the cable only supports power in one direction. The end with the USB-A adapter must be connected to the device that is supplying the power, in order to power a device connected on the other end. It’s fine for connecting a drive to a USB-A or USB-C device (since there’s a USB-C plug on that end also), but will not work if the host device is Lightning or micro-USB. For that reason I have removed one star from my review. If you need to connect a drive to a lightning or micro-USB phone or tablet, it will not work unless the drive has a separate power source. Original Review (2/11/21): Purchased this product because I grew tired of carrying so many adapters for my USB-C cables. I tied the various adapters to the bottom of their relevant cables, be them on my USB-C to Lightning cable or the USB-C to USB-C … since I didn’t want to grab the wrong cable and not have my adapters with me. Two cables in an effort to minimize the number of cables I had to carry, but with so many adapters (three on each cable) it was still a messy situation … smaller, but messy. This micro-cable is a breath of fresh air. Enough so that I purchased two, one for my bag, and one for my desk to always have on hand. It really feels minimal in comparison to my prior situation. Prior adapters were all flimsy and didn’t last long. I don’t think this one will be an issue. The flat cable is a bit cumbersome to maneuver in some cases, but it can be easily reversed (twisted under) to accommodate more difficult positions. The only issues are: Though the USB-A adapter end snaps into place with a satisfying click, the micro-USB / Lightning connector end does not. The latter has a mushy fit that gives a polarizing experience with both sides to directly compare. It feels like it would easily come off in comparison to the USB-A side that instead feels secure. Maybe that will become a more significant issue as the retention starts getting some wear. For now, it’s not a problem that I’d take stars off for, or “not” recommend it to anyone even slightly. However, the other issue is the abysmal transfer speed (photos / screenshots included). I ran speed tests using both adapters and a Samsung T7 External SSD drive, and both adapters received measly 39.1 MB/s write and 34.9 MB/s read speeds in comparison to the 1273.6 MB/s write and 2200.9 MB/s read of a proper USB-C to USB-C cable (Anker's USB-C 3.1 specific cable). This is a non-issue for me personally since I’d still carry a USB-C to USB-C cable even if this cable wasn’t slow … but it would have been nice to just grab the adapter sitting on my desk when I want to plug in a drive. A minor inconvenience. That being the case, if you absolutely need a high speed cable, then you’re stuck carrying an additional cable. If charging and the occasional file transfer are your only needs then this adapter will be perfect. Just keep in mind this is NOT a PD / high speed charging capable cable not only is the data slow but so is the charging. Otherwise, this is a great cable that I highly recommend. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a high-speed + PD version down the line, as it seems micro-USB and USB-A will be necessary for awhile. ... show more

  • Great for casual emergency need!
Color: Mercury Grey
Isnt bullet proof and wouldnt recommend if you ever habe anything bind your keys up or if you casually drop things without noticing. It IS great to keep on a keyring, but if keys are a low priority compared to current events, its possible then item can get brushed off of the keyring and go missing. I did buy 4 for family for Christmas though .. ... show more
