this costume is fantastic. The fabric is nice, the costume is well made and the accessories are spot on. Every year we do a family costume and this year we are doing wizard of oz - it is the perfect wicked witch of the west. I ordered the small because I wanted to make sure it fit through the waist. It is bit tighter thru the chest area than I would prefer but the small fits perfectly through the waist. there is not a lot of give in the fabric so I was careful with the zipper, but it definitely comfortable enough to wear all night. I am tall and was concerned it wouldn't be long enough, but It does go all the way to the floor. I have not tried it on yet with any type of heel yet. I am 5'8 weigh 127 pounds. measurements 38,25,37. I'll add some photos closer to Halloween. ... show more

I ordered a large. I am 5’6” and 140lbs and 34C. The large was perfect. There was some wiggle room in the waist but I liked that so it wasn’t uncomfortably tight when I sat down. It is long. I wore 3 inch heels and it grazed the ground perfectly. I had to clip the elastic to loosen it a bit around the upper arm but I have larger arms so that may not be an issue for most women. My 3 star rating is based on how inaccurate the sizing is for this costume. I should have paid more attention to the many reviews critical of the sizing but since my measurements were well within those shown for XL in the size guide, I was confident it would fit. It did not come close to fitting through the bust area and I was unable to zip it, no matter how hard I tried. On the positive side, the costume is very well made and would look great on someone able to fit into it. A petticoat is included as well as a cute witch's hat. A bit disappointed as it came ripped. (See pics.) Quality control must’ve been off the day it was packaged and sent to me 😒 But the dress is an exact replica of the witch’s dress from the Wizard of Oz! and I love it! Though it came damaged, the material is not a bad one. It’s pretty thick and not paperlike, like many others. The skirt is nice and long and has tulle underneath it, making it fluff a bit 👍🏼 Just beware the arms, (sleeves), are for small arms and although I usually wear a size medium, this fits me like a small. No room to put warm clothes underneath for the colder Halloween climates. I should have sized up, but the dress still fits, came in a nice plastic bag and it was delivered right away; so I’m happy with my purchase. Reason I gave it 4 stars. Glad I read the reviews on sizing and checked the measurements on the InCharacter size chart. I'm usually a size 6 and would normally order a medium but I got a large because of the reviews and size chart. The large fits well with only a tiny bit of room to spare, which is perfect because in Minnesota I'll likely need layers underneath on Halloween. I think the medium would have been too tight. The sleeves are nice and long and the skirt is really long. I'm 5'5" and will probably have to have it hemmed or just cut it. It's actually kind of slimming! I was pleasantly surprised to find it came on a plastic hanger in a nice plastic and cheap fabric full length garment bag. It includes the hat with a long piece of black netting that can be removed or adjusted (it's not sewn to the hat) and a separate black netting underskirt with an adjustable tie waist. Overall very pleased and can't wait for our family to go as The Wizard of Oz for Halloween! ... show more

I didn't have a great experience with this product. First, I was sent the wrong size and had to return it, no big deal. Then I got the correct size but it didn't have the black nail, also fine I don't particularly need them, but I was planning to use them. Then I put it on and it was the perfect fit. I asked my husband to help me finish zipping it up and the zipper opened! It was not tight, it was perfectly snug. We tried to fix the zipper, took it off and back on, again and again. Each time same thing, the zipper opened up after zipping every time. Eventually the zipper completely broke. I do like the costume so I am going to take it to get a new zipper. If I am lucky it will work out... Edit: I had the zipper replaced and it is perfect now. So if you want it to last, a simple trip to a seamstress will help. ... show more

Excellent costume. I've been wearing this five Halloweens in a row. Slap on some green face paint, paint some thick brows and a mole, and pull on a black wig with a bun and you're ready! The only potential negative is that the skirt runs long. I'm 5'8" and with short heels it still brushes the ground, thus the four-star instead of 5-star rating. Pictures are from the first couple years before I got a wig, and before I settled on the traditional Wicked Witch green skin tone. ETA: The large fits me just fine at 5'8" and 140lbs. ... show more

    • The BEST witches costume ever!

Liked the feel Liked the way it was sewn together Like the way it came in a garment bag Hated that it runs SO SMALL. We purchased this for our average size 12 year old daughter. We ordered a medium. Upon arrival today we were THRILLED when we took it out of its very own garment bag! However when she tried it on it was a little tight sitting around her arms, and around her chest. She is in a training bra so she doesn't have that large of breasts. We are returning it or an extra large. I don't see how this could fit a normal size grown woman. Be warned. Like the other reviewer said it was EXTRA-LONG and it is going to have to be professionally hemmed up. All in all even with the issues this is by far one of the best looking costumes I have ever purchased. I hope it will last her was going to sizes up, through High School! ... show more
