Seems pretty expensive for what it is. I'm not sure if flimsy is good or bad, because where it is mounted to my tractor it could become a blade if things go topsy turvy. so maybe flimsy is better in that case. I'm not going out of my way to test this hypothesis. For now it is compliant with laws and I assume reduces some liability when I "accidentally" pull out on to my rural road when speeders are inbound. Next up is a yellow "tractor" sign. ... show more

Do not buy or use! It's simply garbage. This product is dangerously illegal and should be removed from the market. IGNIXIA SMV signs and emblems all FAIL the required ASAE S276.4 standards, which on their own are out of date vs the new S276.8 version. But even using the standard claimed to meet (S276.4) this product FAILS in the following Ways: 1) Most importantly this product does not meet the reflectivity standards. I tested it with a high precision retro-reflectometer and this product abysmally fails nearly every test point on multiple samples. See pictures for evidence. Not meeting these requirements means it will not be visible for 600' as is legally required. This sign is highly illegal and should be reported to the NHTSA for a recall. 2) This is the flimsiest sign you could use - so don't use it. ASAE Standard requires the aluminum to be 1mm thick. It is only 0.38mm thick (see picture of caliper measurement) -- yeah barely 38% of the minimum... this alone makes this sign illegal. 3) This sign is not labeled with manufacturer information or certifying data as required by ASAE S276.4 Standard. This makes the sign illegal as well. Surely the seller doesn't want to disclose the manufacturer because of the legal liability for the supremely subpar quality of this item. 4) While I can't objectively measure the fluorescent triangle I can assure you it also fails the standard when compared to virtually any other legal SMV sign - it's not even the right color and surely won't last the required 3 years of the durability test with its terrible material. DO NOT BUY!! ------------------------ This SMV sign should be removed from circulation entirely. There is no use for it anywhere near a public road. SMV signs are ONLY supposed to be used on Slow Moving Vehicles and never in static places like Light Posts or Mailboxes since those driving near there should not be confused to think there is a moving vehicle ahead... you can't put a stop sign on your mail box; you shouldn't have an SMV sign there either. Please don't buy this item unless you are putting it INSIDE your house or using it for target practice. If you have an IGNIXIA SMV sign on a vehicle please remove it and put on a legal one that meets at least the 30 year old 276.4 standard, if not the new 276.8 standard which became a 50 state requirement on all vehicles made after 2017. -------------------------- Furthermore there are multiple sellers selling the EXACT same terrible item so be careful what you buy. Yeah I'm talking about SICOL Plus Brand. All will be reported to Amazon for policy violation. Cheers ... show more
