To start with, I spent a looong time looking at so many different deck tiles. So many hours, so many times, so many reviews. I knew I wanted wood not composite, and even though I liked the aesthetic of the 8 slats over the 6, I went with these because they were made of acacia which gets the best reviews for durability and holding up to the elements. Given that, I also spent a little more than I wanted to on something I was sure I was going to need to return. I was also a little bummed because shipping was over a week. I know, first world problems. These were rated #1 New Release and #15 in decking overall so I went for it. They arrived 3 days early and packaging was great. Super simple to put together. I’m not really sure how long it took but I do know it took longer to open the boxes than to assemble the tiles. I had a 8x6 patio set up and chairs arranged in less than 30 minutes. It’s exactly what I wanted! They seem durable but I guess time will tell. There were no splinters and the color was uniform. Everything fit together incredibly easy. One review mentioned that they didn’t actually interlock and come apart when you move them. It is true that you can’t pick it up once it’s assembled, but I was able to easily slide it into position by pushing it. It’s not that large of an area but simple to move. Another reviewer didn’t like that there was no end piece available and the loops are left exposed. I arranged it so the loops are on the 2 sides you don’t really see. Also, it’s easy enough to cut the loops off which I’ll do at some point. I’m super excited with my purchase and could not be happier with the way it looks. This gives some interesting appeal to my apartment’s patio. I like this color because it goes with everything. With the plants, it makes it feel so homy, and I enjoy eating breakfast , lunch, or dinner out there now. It was easy to install, but the only thing is the fact that some of them shake at times, and you may have to redo the work depends of the position where they shake. I bought these to make an easy deck for my inflatable hot tub. As you can see in the pictures, the deck is crooked. I didn't think much of it at first, that is until I tried to slide the deck to straighten it out. Needless to say, I didn't move the deck. The tiles do not lock together so it comes apart very easily if you try to move it. You also want to make sure the ground where you are laying them is level or the tiles will move out of place when walking on them. I do like the overall outcome but, it took some work to get it to what you see in the pictures. After 160lbs of top soil to level out the area, I was not about to dismantle and rebuild the deck just so I would be straight. I plan to add a bit more to the deck to make a larger area to walk on when getting in and out of the hot tub so, I do like them... ... show more
