I picked these up for my 8yr old son to skate around our small pond. These were a little big for him, but that was the intent, so that he can grow into them. For now, they fit pretty well with nice thick padding. You can ratchet the top strap and the middle Velcro strap pretty tight so that they are not “swimming” in them. The blade is nicely made and the overall feel is nice and solid. I'm far from an expert on ice skates, but my kiddo has loved tagging along with some friends when they go ice skating, so I thought these would be good to have rather than having to pay to rent skates when we go. They're a little big for my kiddo yet, but in general they look to be fairly well made and put together. Colors are cute. And I love that the size will adjust so these will last longer for her. We live in North Dakota where Winter sports are a way of life. My 10 year old daughter wanted to participate in ice skating this year, but I didn't want to invest in expensive skates just for her to potentially lose interest. These skates are a perfect entry-level value and I love that they are adjustable. She's been thrilled to practice with them and I'm hopeful that she will keep wanting to grow her skills. True to size and nice skates for a beginner. My son had a school function at an ice skating rink and he'd never been before so I got him these to use. He managed ok but did fall quite a bit. He liked the color a lot. I saw in another review someone got a carry bag and ours did not come with one. I'm not sure if it was supposed to or not, but we didn't get one which was a bummer. ... show more

These skates look nice, and as fast as kids outgrow things having the adjustable base for their feet is nice. They seem as durable as any other kids skates and the storage bag is nice to take the skates along to the ice or just keep them together in one spot at home.

These ice skates are comfortable and true to size for my 11yo. It glides well and though we don't use it on ice, but rather "hockey" tiles, it's a great learning foundation and fun. This is definitely a beginners skate it seems in many aspects because of how many plastic pieces it has, but for the pricing and adjustable sizes it'll be sure to last a long time to make it worthwhile. ... show more
