  • Worked well for 1st test.
Used it to reset an airbag error on my 07 Cayman S after installing a short shift kit. It did the job and was easy to use. Hopefully it will allow me to other things like oil change reset as well which I had to take it to the dealer for before. I also like that I can load my other vehicles into it too but I have not tested it with them yet. Good price compared to othe Porsche specific ODB testers. ... show more

  • Not easy but it works
I bought this to reset oil change on our 2013 Porsche 911. So nice of manufacturers taking away ability to reset it without some extra needed piece of equipment. Instructions are really poor. I was saved by a youtube video. Anyway I got it done and maybe I will need it to scan for codes on this vehicle or one of my others. ... show more

  • Works great on Mercedes Sprinter and Toyota FJ
This is great for a Sprinter-Based RV. Was in the middle of Oklahoma when all the lights came on on the dash. Had a bad cross-wind, and this enabled me to read the code to see that the Sprinter was worried about my steering against a 45MPH cross-wind for too long. Great software and firm-ware. You need this. ... show more

  • Simple but pricey
You cant use this straight out o the box but nothing tells you that. You need to download their software updater and add the manufacturers you want to be able to use this with. Once you do that its pretty intuitive and simple to use

  • Works Perfectly with VW, Mercedes
I bought this to work on my mercedes and it was exactly what I needed. It clears codes and looks into each system. I also looked into a Volkswagen and all the codes lined up perfectly with another professional scanner. This is all you should need for any make that it supports. I bought the 5 car model since I'm going to have more than 1 brand of vehicle over my lifetime. Definitely worth the purchase if you are buying a scanner. ... show more

  • awful, manufacturer support, no support, product not working
I visited0their website to update and download the vehicles that I need for the unit CR V2.0 (5+1) that i purchased (screenshot with serial number is attached below).. After watching few tutorials video, I tried updating the software. First problem I encountered was that None of icons/description under support & update matches CR V2.0. You have V1.0&V2.0& v3.0, then second tab (appears car specific) and then for CR plus (where is CR V2.0??) Not knowing what to do, I opted for First tab (versio2.0 (on unit says V2.0 but on unit Boot says V21.09!), software did not recognize the unit to fill the serial number automatically (as shown in one the videos) but after entering the serial number it progressed to next step, I selected the 4 cars but after small progress I get the error message and asked to contact support. Below 4 screenshots reflects my experience. Not having any luck, I tried the 3rd tab AT least it had CR model, but with that download and then as a last try with the 2nd tab update I get the same error message saying wrong S/N (screenshot below) before I can even finish entering the serial number. Each time after I un-installed the software I disconnected the unit and restart the computer before trying the next software upload. I have tried calling numerous times at different hours with no luck (phone was never answered), prior to this email I emailed two times asking for help and no respond at all, as if company does not exist. I hope you realize how horrible the experience has been so far, all the time behind computer trying, seeking help with no result and on top of that car is being idle since unit is good for nothing as-is. Below you see my S/n, how hard can it be for somebody to send a link with proper update & vehicle software (Porsche, BMW, Nissan, GM), or at least point to working and proper link on the site. This is my final attempt in trying to get some help before I return the unit and reflect what my experience has been so other potential buyers will know the reality (at least for me) aside from nice available videos. Unit was returned after not receiving ANY, NOT EVEN ONE respond. ... show more

  • Doesn't work as advertised. Exposes computer to viruses. A trophy for yer failed device collection.
I bought this to bleed the ABS pump and encode new injectors on my 2005 Dodge Sprinter (a Mercedes-Benz with some Chrysler bits thrown in). In short, it not only didn't work for my purposes, it opened my computer up to any virus or trojan that I might encounter. In order to install the Sprinter-specific device features I had to run the iCarsoft installation software "iCarsoft_MSDIAG_PCClientKits". When you double-click the file Windows will tell you that the software is from an unknown publisher and should not be run. If you ignore this and run it anyway, Windows will then inform you that you need to restart your computer to make changes to User Account Control. What? User Account Control is the feature of Windows that stops and asks you before a piece of software makes changes to your system. Y'know, like the things that viruses and trojans do? iCarsoft in their infinite wisdom COMPLETELY TURNS OFF THIS PROTECTION AND LEAVES IT OFF. Whatever their reason, the only excuse is lazy and sloppy programming. This is completely unacceptable. I'd return the junk immediately except during the winter Holly Daze someone in my household got rid of all of the boxes. If you don't run the "Installer" software you'll never be able to run the "Updater" software to load the device with vehicle-specific updates. If you don't do that, the gadget won't talk to your car/truck/van. Agghhh. If you reverse it's abuse of your computer's security, every time you run the "Updater" it will force you to allow it to disable User Account Control again. Oh, yeah, I forgot. Does the device work? For my Sprinter I need to drill down five levels just to get to the diagnostic menus. When I click on the first choice, "Auto Scan", the gadget will go through the list of possible subsystems/smart modules/controllers that IT KNOWS THAT your vehicle might have. In my case this scan found 8 of the 19 subsystems on my Sprinter. ABS wasn't one of them. If I look at the manually view the list of modules I find that the scanner can at least talk to all 19 subsystems. Including the ABS system that I'm most interested in. One of the main features that I bought the gadget for are to bleed the ABS pump. I couldn't find this option in any of the menus (which, BTW, aren't documented anywhere). So I contacted the single support guy for their US branch. Great guy. Very knowledgeable. His reply was, "I'm sorry to tell you that our scanners can't support ABS Bleed on it." My vehicle is 15 years old. It's not rare. The ABS controller is made by Bosch and used in hundreds of other vehicles. Have you ever seen someone who displays trophies of one type or another? I think I'll put this in my trophy collection. ... show more
