This is a great summer hat! It does run a little big, but I don't mind because we have a newborn and I want it to last the whole summer. There is a tie on it that makes it stay on despite being too big. The fabric feels nice and breathable which is great for hot days at the beach, especially when it gets wet because it will dry fast. Not true to size, very large. From reading other reviews I knew this in advance before purchasing for my 3 month old. She is now 7 months and the hat still fits with room. Love the lightweight design, perfect for hot sunny days!

My baby is 4 months old and her head size is around the 20th percentile. She's a small baby and all the summer hats we had were way too big. This one fits slightly big but works and will fit all season. Plus it's really cute. We can't wait to wear it by the pool this summer.

Although this say that it is for newborns, it is definitely not. It is more for a 4 - 6 month old, or a newborn elephant! Seriously, it's quite large. My daughter is 7 lbs 4 oz and this will not fit her for many months to come. While it is cute, and I am not going to return it but rather save it for when it will fit, I recommend you search for something different if truly looking for something to fit a newborn. ... show more
