I bought these for my 6 year old daughter. We went swimming and she lost one of the earrings that she got pierced with back in November of last year. Well we quickly came home and put in a pair of earrings that I got from Claires. Well after a few days they started hurting her. So after 2 hours of researching earrings to get her I came back to these ones. It didn't have as many reviews as some other earrings on here but the reviewed that I did read I liked. My daughter loves them!! She hasn't had one problem with them!! They even came with little rubber backings that I put on along with the backing they came with. This necklace is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to surprise my daughter with it! I was hoping to find a star with some form of opal in it so that it has a sparkly almost galaxy like feel. She's not quite to the point I'm willing to spend tons of money on jewelry for her, so I was delighted with the price. First off, I've seen a few reviews about these getting stuck in the skin of kids ears. That can happen with ANY earring so it's not just from these. Don't sleep with earrings in unless you want to risk that. Even rollercoasters can do that to you. So far these haven't irritated my ears at all, as they're very sensitive to most materials. If they start to I'll sadly have to return them, but they're very cute and dainty! Only complaint is that one of the earrings has a slightly bent post right out of the box. Good news is that one of my ears has a crooked piercing cause I got it done at a Claire's in 2001 when I was like 3, so it works out for me. I love the look of beautiful ear jewelry but I’m allergic to most metals so I’m always very skeptical as even “hypoallergenic” and “great for sensitive skin” often still result in inflamed and often bleeding ears within hours of wear so I’ve been stuck wearing the same hoops for several years and am honestly quite bored. I saw other reviews saying they had success with these so I bit the bullet and here I am now! A month in and I absolutely love them. I’ve worn them 24/7 and they have not tarnished or chipped in the shower and have not caused any pain as of yet. I opted for the round backs since I often sleep with my earrings in and I don’t think I’ll ever go back. These are ridiculously comfortable!!!! No scratching, no poking, it’s lovely. 10/10 I honestly want to order more so I have color options! ... show more
