    • This is a piece of junk!!!!
This is not the quality I expect from Humminbird. The plastic piece that holds the Mega SI transducer is far below what I expect in quality from Humminbird. The mounting instructions say to "hand tighten". Well that is a really objective measurement isn't it. It is a ridiculous measurement. What is hand tight to me is far different than what it would be for my wife. Well I hand tightened them only to find out the next day that the plastic bosses had broken. It is a shame that Humminbird would allow it's name to be put on a piece of junk to hold a $300 transducer. I mounted this on a Terrova trolling motor and ran the transducer cable up the center of the shaft. If anyone has done this you understand what a job it is to remove the shaft completely to install the cable this way, only to find out that you may be faced with having to do it again. I would be willing to pay for a quality product that is worthy of my time and effort to install it, but this isn't it. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING ... show more

    • Too long for my Minnkota
I bought this for my brand new Minn kota I drive .The attaching bracket and the hummingbird helix si transducer are 8 3/4 inches long the distance between the prop and the down fin on the motor is six inches there is no way this transducer will fit a current minn kota product I will check with Minn kota and see if the motor shaft and housing can be extended but looks like a real hassle on what I thought was a no brainer install May fit units with the skeg on the same end as the prop check your motor configuration before purchase ... show more

    • Lack of fit for transducer to trolling motor
I purchased a Humminbird helix 9 mega gen 3 SI + DI. I contacted hummingbird to find out what mount I needed for my 1200.00 Terrova trolling motor. They gave me this part number for this bracket to mount my SI transducer to my terrova trolling motor. When I received it the transducer that came with my Humminbird unit would not fit the terrova Trolling motor. I called Humminbird and told them my problem. They then told me there was not a mounting bracket that would fit my terrova motor at all. So I am stuck with a 1500.00 unit and 1200.00 motor that will not let me mount the transducer to my trolling motor. So I am out the month consider that I bought the minnkota terrova with my boat 6 Months ago. Unless I make my own mounting bracket to to adapt the transducer to the motor. Shame on you minnkota and minnkota which are one company for not making an adapter to fit the transducer to the terrova i-Pilot trolling motor. But it’s all about money. You want everyone to buy a 3,000.00 motor to use you mega imaging. ... show more
