DIY Laser Level user - recently added a green laser (reviewed separately) to my measurement tools. The bracket included with the laser did not offer the fine adjustments in x, y and z nor the pitch, roll and yaw adjustments. From my DIY use of lasers I've found getting the line where I want easily and accurately it is essential. That ease of use is a function of the bracket adjustment. This accessory bracket offers good, smooth adjustment (lacking in my previous laser). I will likely use the z axis adjustment the most, but all have reasonable range and smooth operation. The Pitch, roll and yaw adjustments could be useful when the pendulum is locked and projected a sloped line. Good design, solid feel, good materials, well constructed. Style: Magnetic Pivoting Base with Adjustable Clip
I used this adapter with laser line generator Hurpar B03CG to install a drop ceiling. Without using a single string or chalk line, this adapter enabled me to install a perfectly level and perfectly square metal grid structure for the suspended ceiling. Even the included l-shaped steel mounting plate was very useful, allowing me to mount the laser wherever necessary to place the laser line correctly. This adapter should be offered as a combo with all appropriate line lasers, it's that useful. Can't imagine using the B03CG without this adapter! The only minor annoyance : I couldn't get the Lock button to work, didn't force it because it is plastic and may have broken. Did not affect the usefulness of the adapter, still 5 stars. * An update: the symbols on the Lock Knob are worthless, IMO, since the arrow is double-headed, which doesn't tell you which way to turn to lock or unlock. The lock knob is VERY stiff, probably because it's new and plastic. I turned it, with much effort, CW to lock it. CCW to unlock it. Not the best arrangement but still worth every penny of the price for drop ceiling installation, leveling and squaring the metal suspended grid. Still 5 stars. ... show more

it's plastic with plastic gears. it's not a perfect metrology grade device. it is annoying that it doesn't track square. what i like to do is set a line against a straight reference, then use this tool to slide that line over to where i actually need it. however translation in the horizontal plane isn't quite square so my reference ends up being just a guess. we're talking under 1* maybe under 0.5* so i mean not bad but this may not be what you're looking for. rotation around z axis is particularly helpful though, and the self-leveling of the laser compensates for any wonkiness of this tool as it rotates. probably deserves 5 stars, because what do you expect. and if you had such a precise xyza widget it wouldn't be useful in construction scenario. but i give it 4 stars anyway. ... show more

I bought a fairly inexpensive auto leveling laser for a basement finish project. I thought the bracket it came with would be fine.... I was wrong it was aweful. SO I decided rather than to upgrade and spend another 150.00 on a higher quality laser to give this a shot. I have been very impressed, I have used it on ibeams, steel studs and even a couple of screw mounts. Laser levels are great tools but to be effective you need a way to adjust them. This little add-on does the trick! I use it with a section of steel angle iron that I clamp to whatever is available. Or I mount it to a tripod. Or I set it on a surface. Whatever you have that works. The important part is that once it is in a rough position you now have the ability to fine-tune the setup. If you have ever tried to adjust a laser level, you know how the laser lines bounce around at the slightest touch. With this device, you turn adjustment knobs to precisely set the lines where you want them, both vertically and horizontally. This makes setting lines to mount shelves or cabinets easy, and it’s great for establishing lines to mount pictures to a wall or an accurate baseline for setting tile. Style: Magnetic Pivoting Base with Adjustable Clip
This product is a common sense product. It's hard to fathom that so many companies have made laser levels and only one of them has made a bracket that can do all of the motions needed to line your laser up on target points. Lining a crossline laser level up on targets over 10 ft is difficult. This product handles all motions (spin, forward/backwards, left/right, up/down). I can't believe only 1 company has made this long overdue adapter. Good job Huepar. I would also like to see an adapter made that is basically a cross-shaped track (90 degree cross track) that allows you to attach your crossline laser level to it. This would allow you to slide left/right into the target location, then you could slide forward or back from any point once your left/right is set and locked. Spinning your laser into a target over 10ft is difficult but sliding left/right into a target point is 100 times easier. ... show more

This thing is way better than the one that comes with the laser itself. Maybe I was just expecting more but the fine tuning on the up and down was not as fine as I thought it could be. The rotating feature is amazing and it’s nice that your can spin the bar with your fingers because you have to do that to tighten the laser on it when screwing it to the wall since it has to be attached to the wall first. ... show more
