Oh my goodness this has been so handy for finishing a basement getting straight and vertical walls. So glad we invested. Worth every penny. The only odd thing is after i use it for a while say 30 mins it flashes as if battery is critical. If I turn it off a while and on again battery is at 3/4. If i go to charge it battery is at 3/4. Overall, its a decent low cost laser. If you're just looking for something inexpensive, its definitely worth considering. You do get what you pay for though. Its very much on the flimsy side. Compare it to the Bosch or the Dewalt and it feels noticeably cheap by comparison. Its roughly 1/3rd the price though, so... I've had mine now for over a month and use it mostly every day (I am a commercial carpenter) as a spare to my Bosch . I've had some issues with it. First is the battery. The battery is stuck inside the laser and has become impossible to remove. Taking the battery out to charge it is no longer an option for me. I'm forced to plug the cable directly into the tool in order to charge it. I was going to buy a spare battery for it and I am very glad I didn't. The magnetic holder for is worthless. I very frequently have a need to mount a laser to a metal stud and that is just not an option with this unit. The magnet is so weak that it won't support the weight of the tool. I've been able to mount it to my Bosch holder and that works very well. The one that came with the tool is no more than a paper weight. You have to be careful with it and check it when you first turn it on. Sometimes it does not level itself and will give you a false reading. An example: I was troubleshooting the install of a 9 foot high door the other day and used the laser to check the jamb. I set it on the floor and turned it on. The beam showed the jamb to be out of plumb by 3/4" over 9 feet. I knew this wasn't right and since I've had similar issues like this with it before, I knew what to do. I picked up the laser, gave it a slight shake, turned it off, and then back on again. This time the beam read the jamb was perfectly plumb. This wasn't user error, the laser just did not self level for some reason. This makes the laser very unreliable for new work. For trouble shooting, its fine because I can tell if it doesn't self level by comparing it to known things that are level or plumb. I always have a need for setting up multiple lasers on jobsites. I have the Bosch, and several of my coworkers have the Dewalt. This unit serves it purpose as a cheap secondary laser, but I would never it recommend as a primary laser to any commercial carpenter. ... show more

I use this level all the time now for hanging anything on the way that requires two or more mounting points. super bright and the battery allows for long usage periods between charging. Also, a huge plus for having a USB-C charge port!

It’s a pretty good laser, accurate and you can see the laser at a really good distance from its position. Unfortunately after a few weeks my laser stopped working but that problem has been solved now.

OK so here's a quick review. Pros: *Easy to turn on and off. *Using a very basic accuracy check (measured lines I previously chalked and plummed on floors and ceilings) it was spot on *found the laser to be bright and easy to see *feels solid and well built at least externally *the case is nice but I don't know how long the inner planting mold will last. Foam would be better. Cons: * it's fairly heavy and cumbersome * it doesn't come with the block for the power cord. Now I have plenty of them from other electronics but to find one to the specifications listed in the manual was difficult. *charge time for battery is fairly long 5+hours When I compare this to others on the market it's far cheaper in price. I'm usually a "you get what you pay for guy" but this is only for home use so not worried about over use. Hopefully it will always work when i need it. ... show more
