    • Beautiful, unique, and durable, but one important flaw
I got 4 of these Rainier glasses packaged with some lovely whiskey. They seemed delicate and I didn't expect them to last but they are actually amazing - they are very durable withstand the dishwasher much better than most of my glasses, remaining virtually nick-free after several months. They are unique and fun to drink from - they are quite large so probably better as water glasses than whiskey/cocktail glasses, though. However, caveat emptor: The mountain shape is pressed into the bottom of the glass, so that from the outside the bottom has a deep indent that traps water in the dishwasher. If you don't mind dumping this out (and rinsing the glass free of residual detergent/rinse-aid) or handwashing, these are great, and IMHO a bargain. ... show more

For those who think these glasses are too flimsy, too light weight, I did not find that to be true. You certainly are not going to use these as your everyday drinking glasses. Glasses were bought for my son in the Pacific Northwest. He loves them. Be aware that the photo is deceiving. The photo shows a gold band at the bottom of the glass which I took to be decorative and really liked! It is not. The glass is shown with a small amount of whiskey in the glass. The glass is 100% clear. Glass walls are thin. They are advertised as lightweight and durable. ... show more
