I have an innate familiarity with printer's ink and paper, dad being in the printing game far back as I can remember. Here's a quick tip for judging paper: Hold a sheet up to the light. Do you see any pinholes? If it's HP paper you won't see any pinholes. Now do the same with other multipurpose brands: Kodak, Staples.... Notice the pinholes? This HP paper is as good as it gets. As far as "weight" is concerned, it's what you get used to. If you feel, as some have said, that this 20lb feels thin, it's probably because you've gotten used to something heavier. Do you really require a heavier paper? The question deserves your utmost attention. Today's emphasis is on conservation. By using a 20lb or lighter weight stock you'll be joining those throughout the planet who are doing their bit to preserve our environment. ... show more

In my decades as an Engineer I have loaded countless reams (hundreds) of paper into printers and have never had a ream that was too wide for the printer. This one won't fit into the paper holder, it buckles if I try to get it in. This Paper is great! It's paper. It's a good thickness for me it's strong! Not thin. It looks and feels looks pleasant. It does it's job for me The paper never gets stuck or does tricks in my printer. It just does it's job perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase. Great price! Packaged well. The paper was too wide to fit in the HP printer tray. The previous batch of the same paper was fine, but this batch was 8.6 inches wide and would not fit in the printer tray. How can this happen?! We ordered the paper in February for our office stock and only opened it today, so we are outside the Amazon return window. Hopefully HP and /or Amazon will see this review and respond ... show more

When I worked at Kinko's this was called "the good stuff". It is. It is a clean bright white registers as a 161. It seems a little more than 20 pound paper by touch, as if that it were a detriment. This is running through my new Canon ink jet--clean lines, no color bleed. Big hosannas, this is--assuming you are not looking to lay down a lot saturated ink--great for double sided printing.     • Defective Batch?

I had purchased this particular brand and quality of HP print paper before but this package must have been defective. It is labeled as being 20# paper but as soon as I opened the package, I noticed that the paper was unusually thin. In fact it was so thin, the entire ream was 'wavy'. Consequently, EVERY sheet I tried to print with it got jammed in my printer. I know it isn't the printer because I had a few sheets left from the previous pack and they printed just fine. Fortunately, Amazon was kind enough to do a refund. I ordered a ream of 24# paper, same HP brand and so far so good. ... show more

Georgia-Pacific Spectrum had been my favorite copy & printing paper since 2013. However, the last several times I went to purchase it the price was way out of range from what it has been during this period, no longer reasonable. I tried Hammermill and wasn't completely satisfied. I just happened to come across this HP paper and the All-In-One22 type also. I decided to buy both. I was very much pleased with the reviews, the seeming superior value of this brand, and the price (which is in the ballpark where GP used to be).
