My 2 year old loves this bed. We decided to leave the front rail off as she does not like being confined in a bed and to make it easy to lay with her. I love that it has slates under the mattress to help it breathe. The wood is perfectly smooth and a natural tone.

I purchased this for my (almost) 3 year old and she loves it! The side rails made the transition from the crib a little easier and they give me peace of mind that she’s not going to roll out. Some of the other reviews mention a gap between the mattress and the rails so we opted to get a twin XL mattress and it fits perfectly. In hind sight I almost wish we had gotten a regular twin as it would’ve made changing the sheets much easier. It really wouldn’t have posed any safety concerns for me cause the gap would’ve been at the foot of the bed and a toddler would have to be very intentional to be able to crawl that far and stick their face in there, which at that point they can get themselves out. Anyways, I didn’t take part in the installation but my mechanically inclined husband said it “was not fun”. Having two people to do it might make it easier. ... show more

God forbid you have some sort of damage and you do not feel safe letting your autistic toddler sleep in it because of damages and they are only willing to refund less than half… all I wanted to do was return the product and that isn’t happening… honestly not worth the risk in my opinion… was what looked like a great well made bed, just came damaged…. ... show more
