It is for small items or discarded papers, which fits my needs (no kids or pets' trash, just the occasional tissue or snack envelopes). The plastic is thick and hard; the cans look and feel sturdy. Overall, I love these trash cans! The size was great and fit nicely in my door cup holder. With having two, I am able to keep one in the front and one in the back. Helpful if you have kids! Was a nice surprise that it came with minibags. Have to check if that's something that is sold separately for future case or since it's usually just wrappers/receipts/tissues, can the bags just be used as liners? The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because the pop up opening feature isn't consistent. Most times when you press it to open, it partially opens and you have to manually open it all the way. Not a big deal but would be nice if it just opened all the way. I just love these little trash cans. I keep one in the door of the driver's side and the passenger's side. It's great if you have kids. They always have wrappers and papers that usually end up in the seat and in the floor. The push lids are fabulous! And I love the little trash bags! I have put apple cores and banana peels in the can. The can stays clean and odor free with the trash bags. I keep the roll in my console so it is quick and easy to replace them.
