  • Calcium Alginate Dressing Pads is composed of manuka honey and calcium alginate non-woven fabric. Manuka honey is a medical-grade honey derived from the pollen and nectar of the Leptospermum species of plant in New Zealand and Australia.
  • Manuka Honey Calcium Alginate Dressing Pads is a novel honey based dressing. The dressing contains 95% Active Leptospermum Honey and can be used to cover a shallow wound or fill a deep wound, while providing a moist environment conducive to wound healing.
  • As wound fluid enters the dressing, the honey is released while the dressing absorbs and forms a gel. Multiple mechanisms of action include reducing edema, lowering wound pH and debriding slough and eschar.
  • Calcium Alginate Dressings Pads are indicated for the management of moderately-to-highly exuding wounds such as: Pressure ulcers, Leg ulcers, Non-infected diabetic foot ulcer, Skin abrasions, Post-operative wound, Lacerations and abrasion.
  • Can be safely worn for several days, depending on wound condition and exudate levels. Each dressing is individually wrapped. Latex free. The whole dressing Pads size: 2'' x 2''.

The honey calcium works if you get one that’s not dried out opened five out of the ten so far 3 were no good... things happen but if you get a good box they do work ! It’s healing my opened wound .

I used this on a slow closing surgical wound between my toes. Unfortunately after being on for two days upon removal it took all the newly formed skin with it. The adhesive is very strong. Not saying this doesn't have a place in a wound kit just didn't work well for being placed on/around new/delicate skin. Edit- post review the seller reached out and remedied my situation by offering a different honey gauze that didn't have an adhesive. Worked great. I still stand by my assertion that you should be mindful of using this on delicate/ newly formed skin. However, seller is very responsive and was quick to remedy. ... show more
