  • Smooth on skin
Great to use, feels smooth on skin, rinses off clean, easy to add scent and color to. Melts great, does not stick to silicon molds. No complaints.

  • Nourishing, Easy to Make Soap
This honey soap is great. First try making melt and pour soap, and this soap is very easy to use. I didn’t have a double boiler so I just put the soap in a glass bowl over a large pot of boiling water. Worked great and also it leaves my face feeling very clean but not dried out like most soaps do. Excellent! ... show more

  • 🍯Lovely Honey Melt & Pour Soap Base
This honey melt & pour base is super easy to use and lovely on your skin. I'm a big fan of Our Earth's Secrets and most of the ingredients they use. I liked it better when they didn't use propylene glycol but what can I do? Be careful not to add too many additives to the base or the bar soap will become too mushy and not remain as solid, or not lather up enough. I made an amazing exfoliating bar soap with crushed organic lemon verbena leaves and pink Himalayan salt, with an essential oil blend that astonishingly smells exactly like the lemon verbena. I used essential oils such as holy basil, may chang, lemon, bergamot mint, eucalyptus, yuzu, etc. and it smells heavenly, refreshing, and citrusy. These oils are beneficial for your skin as well, helping to keep it clean and clear. I added a bit of mica to the mix for a light green tinge and some shimmer. The soap lathers well and stays strong and solid. I would highly recommend the honey melt & pour base as well as the hemp seed oil base, which is my favorite. This is such a versatile soap base and I love adding original ingredients to make it my own. Before giving it to my parents of course! Enjoy it!🌱 ... show more

  • Great Beginner's Soap Base!
Making the soap: -I love that this already has all the soap "parts" to it, so you don't have to mess with lye. All you have to do is chop up your desired amount of honey base into small chunks, melt it into the microwave (I would do it for 15-30 seconds, stir, then 15-30 seconds again while mixing in between to make sure nothing gets burnt), and the pour into your mold! I do wish it came with some instructions, just because I had to look at the reviews to figure out what I was supposed to do since I'm new to this! The color came out as I expected a honest base to, clear with a yellowish tint. I used some essential oils in my mix (about 20 drops for one pound). At first, this made the smell overwhelming, but when I set it outside to cool (for around 4 hours or so), it had gone down quite a bit and was just a nice pleasant smell. It likely will change depending on the scent you are using, so just play it by ear. Using the soap: -once the soaps were done, I decided to put one by my sink to wash my hands and one in my shower. When I was washing my hands, I noticed it lathered really nicely and let my hands feeling clean and soft. The oils I used did not transfer onto my hands. Instead, my hands just smelled like typical "washed hands with soap" generic smell, which didn't bother me. When I used it in the shower, it again lathered well, but I did not get the same "clean" feeling (ended up using my regular body wash as well). Not sure why (could be in my head), but that is my experience. Consequently, I will be using this for hand soaps and not body soaps in the future. Still very pleased overall. ... show more

  • Great way to get into soap making!
I received some homemade soap as a gift and really liked the texture, scent and suds that are so unlike commercial soap. But when I read about making soap, it involved a lot more than I wanted to get into (lye, curing period, etc). This heat-and-pour method is a nice, easy way to get into soap making and provides the opportunity to tweak your recipe with various additives. Looking forward to trying other variations of this available on Amazon. ... show more

  • Natural Product with Unlimited Possibilities
I purchased this melt and pour soap base to create Christmas gifts for my friends and family - I wanted something that was easy as I have never made soap before, but something that was also good for the skin and all natural. I performed hours of research and made several test batches before I came up with a perfect soap to suit everyone on my list (recipe below). 1. After chopped into small cubes (1" x 1") the soap melted easy in the microwave - I placed it in a large pyrex measuring cup and melted in the microwave on 30 second bursts to prevent it from burning (I stirred it up between each 30 second burst) - I was super easy! 2. It smells a little like honey and does not contain any artificial ingredients. It is a glycerin soap so it has no color - I added colorants to my soap, but you certainly do not have to. 3. It is smooth and creamy and feels really nice on the skin - It does not leave a greasy or oily residue. 4. It lathers up pretty good, even with all of the extra ingredients I added to it Lavender Beeswax Soap Recipe 4 tbsp melt and pour soap base (this makes 1 bar) 10 drops lavender essential oil or fragrance oil 1 drop violet colorant 1 tsp grated beeswax Soap mold 1. Melt soap in microwave as described above 2. Once melted immediately add the grated beeswax stirring until beeswax melts 3. Add fragrance/essential oil and colorant 4. Stir until well blended 5. Pour mixture into mold and let set overnight (it will set up in 3 - 4 hours, however, I like to allow it to completely harden before de-molding Highly recommend this product for all of the reasons listed above. ... show more

  • Great soap base!
Used this soap base for my first time doing melt and pour- normally I do cold process soaps. This base feels great on the skin, is easy to use, and works great for making breast milk soap. I used all 2lbs and it gave me 19 bars of soap total.
