I have only had these a month with medium to light use and they are holding up fine. No more worries about reaching into a hot oven. Eventually when these wear out I will buy them again.

The main thing I don't like about these gloves is that they aren't quite big enough for my ham hands. However, I realize that most people have smaller hands than I do so I can't really fault the gloves. I have to wriggle a bit to get the gloves on but once I do they work well. It might be nice if they were a bit more naturally fitting rather than flat but this would necessitate left and right-handed gloves and also make them stack and store less well. The gauntlet portion is long enough for most work and I can remove 450-degree baking pans from the oven with no discomfort if I don't tarry too long. I also don't get scalded when splashed with hot water like I sometimes did with non-waterproof gloves. Cleaning of the silicone portion of the gloves is easy and even pizza grease and sauce comes off with a drop of soap and quick wipe. They aren't perfect (what is?) but they are some of the better oven mitts I've used thus far, and I'm 63 years old. ... show more
