I used to use dryer sheets but felt guilty about the waste, and wasn't very happy with the strong fragrance. I switched to dryer balls several years ago, and recently decided I needed another set, so I ordered these Home Genie balls. I'm so pleased with the quality. First of all, they're big--much bigger than my old dryer balls--but the density is about the same. I love that they came in a very nice cloth bag,. It makes it so much easier to store them and to keep them clean. The directions suggested placing the balls into the dryer with a wet towel before using them the first time. This is to prevent any of the wool from transferring to the clothing. I decided to skip this step and had no problems. I used all 6 balls in a large load of clothing. They did dry a bit faster and I didn't have any problems with wrinkles. I'd also say they eliminated most static. Because these are scent free, they did not leave any scent on my clothing. The directions say that you can add 2-3 drops of essential oil to one ball before adding to dryer, if you prefer scented laundry. I prefer to use them without scent.I honestly have nothing negative to say about these. They're an excellent value. ... show more

As a current user of dryer balls, I appreciate the quicker drying time and anti-static properties that your clothes have coming out of the dryer. These definitely did that for me! My current dryer balls seem to have worn out some. I just dried two loads and were impressed that I only ran the dryer ONE full cycle. I had been doing two cycles quite a bit, for the previous balls. The only small negative is these balls are quite loud tumbling in your dryer. I had two smaller loads. Perhaps a larger load wouldn't be as loud. I will certainly update this review if doing a larger load makes them quieter. ... show more

This 4 pack of wool dryer balls came in their own little drawstring bag, which is nice for storage so they don't roll all over the place. The instructions mention to first use these with a wet towel to remove some of the wool lint, and the towel came out nice and fluffy. They do make a dull thumping sound in the dryer, but that is to be expected since they are dense balls of wool rolling around in there. They are not as loud as tennis balls though! Great alternative to disposable dryer sheets, too, as these are reusable. Very happy with these. ... show more

These balls are a little softer than the other balls I recently ordered but they seem to be of good quality. The actual quality will not be revealed before a year or even more passes. If they are still in good condition, we are good. Otherwise I will update my review.

Balls work well for removing static and adding scents to the your laundry without the need for dryer sheets. The balls are the size of a soft ball, soft while being solid at the same time. Home Genie is apparently a sister brand to Gorilla Grip, which is a brand I'm familiar with, so I decided to give these dryer balls a try. They have a slight wool odor and appear to be good quality. I got 4 balls which will be enough for small to medium loads of laundry. Five or six balls are recommended for large loads. I use dryer balls in place of fabric softener and find that they reduce drying time and reduce wrinkles a little bit. Recommend. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love dryer balls. I have been using them for years and I am a fan of this set. They are soft with no weird smell. Long lasting. I put a few drops of lavender essential oils on them, throw them in the dryer and my clothes come out soft, no static, and smelling nice. Great option to avoid chemical-laden dryer sheets and better for the life of your dryer.
